looking for my kick in the pants too................. I cant do structured strict things like WW. Too much countint and tracking does not work for me.

Another few days of showers every afternoon. Guess I will get lots of inside work done this week. There is always plenty to do.

arrived home last night after 12 hours in the car, ugh!
I managed to run my mile and keep the streak alive and then pretty much collapsed into bed!
This morning I joined WW again, and hope that this is the kick in the pants that I need!

got 2 lawns cut yesterday before the sky opened up with rain. One more to do today since they say its going to rain again today. The more it rains the faster the lawns keep growing.

Good exercise........................ emoticon

Also did some food shopping so I can make an honest effort to eat properly. I just need to do it this time. Im in a 26 day countdown to my 60th birthday...........I want to see 130 pounds on that scale on July 24th

lots of exercise today.................... have to cut the church lawn - and then cut my Moms lawn and hopefully get a little bit of yardwork done at my own home. Trying to beat the rain they say is coming tonite.

I love hearing that someone has a summer plan............................ Im talking - only talking and not putting much of anything into action. I make myself crazy with no determination or willpower.

Hi team,
I had a nice day yesterday despite the late day thunderstorms. I splurged and bought myself a Fit Bit yesterday. The only thing I have done consistently in the last year is wear my pedometer & track my steps. I've averaged about 7000-8000 steps a day. The Fit Bit does so much more than just track steps. I am excited to learn how to use it effectively. It will sync directly with the Sparkpeople fitness tracker.
Well time to get moving! I won't get 10,000 steps in sitting at the computer!

Hi Team,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend.I am ready to put my summer plan into action. My eating has been out of control. My goal is to focus on healthy habits. I've have been averaging about 7000 steps per day. My new goal is to kick it up a notch and try to get 10,000 steps in per day! I need to get my 8 cups of water in and stick to my eating plan.
I love the freedom summer affords me! Here's to summer emoticon

Today is going to be awesome! I am back on Spark. I got behind during the school year. I'm a teacher and definitely don't take enough time for myself. This is my first Saturday with no exams or papers to grade. Getting out into my garden, posting on my blog, and enjoying some long overdue spring cleaning. Enjoy the beautiful weather!

The mud run was awesome! I did get infected, but you get a medal no matter what, and I love that mine says infected! My son was impressed by it too, so points for me there!
Not liking today's weather and hoping it improves! My son is graduating middle school next week, and he has lots of outdoor celebrations coming up!

what a glorious day it was for the wedding on saturday. Ceremony was outside and it was wonderful. This was a middle aged couple that had been together for about 20 years. He is 60 years old and never married before - this is her second marriage. Everything was simply perfect for them.

Im back to working out a little. Moved back into it gradually - feeling a few aches and pains as my body realizes this is something I have been away from for awhile. Weight is staying right at 137 - but thats just a number.

Looks like more rain is coming........................ hoping it holds off until later today so I can get some work done .

Mari-Serv sometimes I walk at our local park. There is a boardwalk area that goes into the trees, no one can really see you in there, and I would squat and lunge my way through!

Have fun at the wedding Jazz! It looks to be a beauty today!

I will be running from Zombies, hopefully I will not get infected! I hear it is tough to survive!

Did my walking inside yesterday because of the weather....which worked out great because I was able to add some squats, side stepping and jogging in place....good workout for me....I may do it more often emoticon

Tropical Storm Andrea is messing with my flow! I am going to have to do Run Streak mile in the rain, ugh, and tomorrow is Run For Your Lives, a Zombie Mud Run. I am dreading having to do it in the rain, although I ran a Half Marathon in the rain, and this should take considerably less time! It might even help to wash the mud off afterwards!

I joined CrossFit and start Monday,my goal for the summer is to gain strength and muscle. I'm not going to worry about the scale so much, I've maintained a 30 lb. weight loss for 2 years now. I have 5k's planned and will be doing the Breast Cancer 3day in October, very excited where my journey is going!!!!

Glad to see some of you still doing SP. I have not been very good at keeping up with my forums and blog. I come back every once and a while check out recipes, but I have not been very consistant. I also put on all of the weight from when I started SP back in 2007 plus an extra 10 pounds. :(

If anyone is planning any walks my husband and I would love to join in. I haven't really been to the shore since Sandy (except Asbury Park and AC), but I miss the Point Pleasant walks we used to do.

Hi Everyone!

I'm hoping to work off .6lbs this week. Of course I'll be glad to see more but if I lose that much by the 8th then I will have lost a complete 10 lbs since May 8!

I turn 40 on 7/17! I had big plans at the beginning of the year to lose 40 lbs by 40. That didn't happen, life got in the way and I let excuses take over got depressed as a result and actually reached an all time high weight.

However, in May I refocused, life calmed down and I changed my eating habits. I cut down on the sweets and started to eat 3 meals a day. I was eating sweets and forgoing dinner!! This small change alone has helped me lose this weight. I'm finding time this month to exercise and anticipate losing another 10 lbs. June.

Today is another yucky day here in Point Pleasant! I took the pup to the vet for an annual visit emoticon and then came home through the rain. I was at my computer when i realized it had stopped, so I changed super quick, and ran out the door for day 8 of the Runner's World Run Streak. I got in my mile and was home before the next round of rain started!

I also did 45 minutes of Tabata that kicked my butt! Now I am just vegging and deciding whether or not to stop being lazy and vacuum and launder!

BLC - biggest loser challenge........................ you are probably right.

Today I kicked off my - get back into the 120's before my 60th birthday challenge. 51 day countdown.................... I see no reason why I cannot lose 8 pounds in 51 days........... heck - I havent lost 8 pounds in the last 4 years so thats quite a personal challenge.

just read the message I sent out...... emoticon Im turning 60 in 54 days = not zero.

thought that was funny............. Im also less interested in what the scale says and alot more interested in losing the body fat around my middle............... ( who isnt ) ? But I know losing that fat is probably going to mean a lower number on the scale too. I can grab what feels like at least 5 pounds of fat in the belly

I'm definitely planning to kick it up a notch for June/July/August. It's NO EXCUSES summer for me! My goal is to lose 30 pounds in 3 months. I know I can do it. I'm here to help support my Jersey friends- will you help support me?

I don't have a weight goal any more, not really. I am losing inches and firming up without it, so when it comes, it comes.
BUT
I do plan to continue training for Summer Mud Runs and Fall Half Marathons. I am hoping to get stronger this year, so that the obstacles are easier!

WOO HOO!!! This will be something else!! OK! So what are we planning! I'm having surgery 7/9 and will be on "light duty" for at least 3-4 weeks so I'll be going the easy does it route.
Can't wait to put that behind me!!

On July 19th I will turn 70, I would also like to see me a bit smaller and I don't mean shrinking in height lol

well I am getting ready for a new month.

Summer = swimsuits = short sleeves - spaghetti straps - strapless = shorts - dresses - no stockings - sandals..................... emoticon


Im making a special effort to lose 8 pounds in 54 days ======== since in 54 days I turn 60.
A great reason to see 12x on the scale to greet my 60's with.
