Yes, I have been told my vitamin D is low and well as B12. I take B12 shots every few months. Just went for physical on Friday. Got my shot. Had started out taking Vitamin D/1000 I.U. but the doctor upped to 2000 I.U. Will see in a couple of weeks how the blood work comes back this time.

I always have me blinds open. I hate a dark house. Just can't see how some people never open their blinds. I have to see the daylight whether the sun is shining or not. Opening my blinds is the first or second thing I do Every day.

I had the same results with blood work. My vitamin D is low (along with B12) and while I do take a supplement, I also use a natural light in my house. It projects natural light and emits ions for a designated amount of time. It's extremely soothing - even my cat is drawn to it. She sits in front of the light and rubs up against the vent that the ion-rich air comes out of.

I bare my windowed self untamed and untrained, looking forward into the beauty of the day.

That is interesting. I am always walking round the house opening the blinds and complaining the house is too dark. emoticon

I heard yrs ago that sunlight effects your mood. Also when caring for my Alzheimer's Father, I was told to fight his depression, turn lights on at night and add brightness to the rooms. But I never realized that it effected the weight loss, but it does make sense.

Thanks for the info.

Just had blood work done for HbA1c/metabolic panel done. Results came back and I found out that my Vitamin D level is low. Wow!!! Yes, I was told to supplement and have been doing so but now have to increase my intake along with getting in some SUN. What's interesting is when researching this ... this deficiency may cause a whole host of problems ... weight gain or making it hard to lose weight.

Now that I took the time to look into this ... some changes are going to be made. As mostly women here (I think and do not mean to offend anyone) ... this is an important part of keeping healthy. Get your levels checked ...

Enjoy the SPRING!!!
