anyone here interested in joining me for a lose 13 in 2013 challenge? Im hoping we can support each other to get there.
A good friend of mine just lost almost 40 pounds with weight watchers. Im so proud of her. I think we can accomplish losing some weight together without that joining a group expense and support each other here.

Thanks everyone for the well wishing. This foot of mine will not hold me back. Have fun at the Grinch. That should be a very fun time. Today is my last day at work for the year and I do not have to return until Jan. 7th. Can't believe another year has come and gone. Everyone keep up the good work.

Sorry about your toe Anjea! My stomach is still being wonky. I am guessing it is still fighting the germs from school (young boys can be so gross, and their germs are everywhere!) but it is still winning for the most part, so I am glad about that! I have work today and a half day tomorrow and then we are off to NYC to see the Grinch tomorrow night. After that it is mostly home stuff. Making a gingerbread house, baking cookies, etc.

Ugh, so sorry to hear about the toe & the stomach bug!! I hate it when our bodies let us down. Hang in there.....I'm fighting not to let stress get the better of me...trying not to take on too much, and working to get in some exercise which always helps...good luck on a decent day for everyone!!

I hope that you get better soon. I have been a grump for several days now. I rebroke a toe at that @@@@ Jersey Gardens Mall. Great place to get in some exercise but a horrible place to be this time of the year. It is way too crowded. Anyway, I am thinking of ways to get my walk in even with the broken toe. Can't let it hold me back. Just can't let it hold me back. After I broke the darn thing I started to eat junk (Little Debbie). But there was one very good result from eating the junk. For the first time I saw, felt and recognized the crash my body goes through after eating it. I felt horrible and super tired. I really see how much sugar and unhealthy carbs effect your body. Well, have a good day everyone.

set a 20 mile per week goal............... and Ive power-walked a 5k everyday this week except the day I unloaded a truck of firewood. That was its own workout.

No movement on the scale and no inches lost ----- but Im one week into this and know Im happier that im back into some kind of exercise walking routine.

This morning the sun was warm but the air was cool ----- felt invigorating.

Im with you on kicking off that 5k walking program tomorrow. I have used the tool here on SP to map out a walking course..................... good luck. be sure to log those miles on your fitness tracker.

All the best with renovations. I know that has to be a little stressful. My best to you and thank you for the support. A big thank you to everyone for the support. The support is making it a little easier. Starting the 5k walking program tomorrow and I am excited about it. I also printed out the program an gave it out to some co workers. Happy shopping. I hope that it goes smoothly. I hosted my department's holiday gathering yesterday. It was really, really, REALLY hard not to eat all the treats. Did I mention it was hard not to eat the cakes, cookies and candies. I am really proud of myself. Good luck everyone with your holiday gatherings. Had fun skipping rope. Had a lot of fun laughing at myself but I will keep at it. Good workout but it brought back a lot of childhood memories of skipping rope between the palm trees of Los Angeles. Anyway ... it is really cold today and the temperature really dropped. It was 32 this morning. Way too cold compared to yesterdays temperature. But it is beautiful out there today. Looks like rain on Sunday and into next week. Ugh. But it should be dry for my race in Bethlehem on Saturday! Loving this warm weather but at the same time it makes me nervous! It should never be 55* at 7 am in December!

Is this 60 degree weather wonderful or what emoticon Actually went out walking yesterday and did not want to go back inside emoticon

Unfortunately it won't be staying around for long emoticon

For those of you like me, who don't like the cold weather emoticon and don't belong to a gym, Spark NJ has a walking indoors challenge that has not seen any activity since July.

I hope some of you will join me in restarting that challenge for the winter and getting off to a good start for the New Year 2013 emoticon emoticon

Last month of the year. I have been increasing my workout time by 10 minutes every 2 weeks, By the new year I will be exercising 180 mins daily. When I do less, I lose less weight or stay the same. I a presently beginning 160 mins. for the next 2 weeks. emoticon emoticon . Wish me luck.

Hi everyone! I participated in my very first BLC this fall, and I've decided to do it again!! So there is a break inbetween the two, during the month of December. I've decided that I'm going to reuse some of the challenges we were given during the break to continue to keep active and to give myself a little challenge. Isn't this a great idea? One of my team mates thought of it!! It will also help encourage me not to "hibernate" during the winter...lol

The very last month of the year............................. hoping everyone is doing ok after Hurricane Sandy . It was an incredible few weeks of recovery for the shore...................... with a very long road ahead for many.
