I just started using the assisted pull-up/bar dip machine again. I had not used one in years and forgotten how much I love it! When I did it before, it did an amazing job of sculpting my arms.

I really love how powerful I feel actually doing pull-ups! Anyone remember that "President's Physical Fitness Test" in school where the boys did pull ups and the girls would just hang? Hated that darn test! I love the assistance that lets me be a pull-up goddess!

I try to go to the gym at least three times a week. Last week I went twice and the week before that only once due to law school starting back up and right now I am feeling less than tight.

Normally I do half an hour of some sort of cardio. I was running both on the treadmill and outside but my feet and shins and knees started to hurt so I've temporarily stopped. I either do the elliptical or I fast walk on the treadmill while changing the incline anywhere from 5-40+ every two minutes. Then I do half an hour of weights. I try to make it through my whole body in weights each week, upper - biceps, triceps, shoulders, back and lower - everything, butt and legs. And I do abs and stretching every time I go.

Once in a while I go to yoga. In fact, I am going to yoga tonight but I went out for indian buffet last night so I am going to do an additional half hour of cardio too.

i think enzyme does NIA, too...

my exercise routine is dependent on whether i'm teaching or not because my gym is right next to school, which is quite far from home. i run/walk a few times per week (say 3?) either at the lake near my house or on a treadmill at the gym, use the elliptical as often as possible during the school year, and go to 1-2 yoga classes per week. i need to start focusing more on building muscle, but i just love the cardio. it calms my anxious, too-easily-stimulated mind down and really brings me some mental clarity. i've gotten better about incorporating core work into my routine, but i need to start lifting and/or pushing on and/or pulling heavy things around the weight room.

i do NIA twice a week. NIA is a super fun non-impact barefoot aerobic workout.
i also swim laps and do a stationary bike once a week.

NIA is the best because i love my teacher and my friends in the class so much that it is hard to skip!

I started working out again after a looooong break. I feel great about that, and it feels like I can keep it up. The boyfriend & I are doing it together, which is good. We're doing the "intense weight-lifting method," where you only do one set of about 12 reps of the highest weight you can manage. Like you should just barely be able to do #12. So it's great, because the workout only takes about 30 minutes, and you're only supposed to do it twice a week. We'll see how it goes...
This website is really impressive:

Although I'm not following his diet, nor his workout plan exactly... the website where the boy and I got our exact workout plan says we don't need to change our diet. I'm not expecting that kind of craziness anyhow! I'd also like to do some more cardio, just for general health purposes! We have plans to play squash at our gym, plus we go hiking on the weekends sometimes. I'd like to take yoga sometimes, too.
So how do you get exercise?
