I like the Diet Ocean Spray Cranberry juice -- something like 5 calories a serving. I also love making spritzer drinks, with club soda/seltzer water. Just splash some juice or a squeeze of citrus fruit into a glass, and it's so good -- plus it's got the carbonation I crave from soda drinks. Can easily be converted to a wine spritzer if you're looking for an alcohol alternative...a splash of wine (as much or little as you want) in a glass of spritzer, with a squeeze of a lemon slice in it. One of my personal faves! ;)

Uhh, I also favorite the Diet Coke, but that's not altogether "healthy." :)

I can't stand artificial sweeteners either. What i do is mix a glass of seltzer with a little bit of 100% juice. I personally like a little orange and a little cranberry. Bonus is that they're low-calorie, but if you drink enough, it counts as a fruit serving!

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. Part of the problem is that I *cannot stand* artificial sweeteners. Never have been able to. I think I'm going to have to either do the fruity water route (ala vitamin water) or the diluted juice route. During the day, it's not a big deal, but with dinner? Water with dinner just sucks right now. Your ideas will help, though, I think.

Cystal Light and sugar free Kool-Aid are good ways to fun up water.

What about making homemade lemon-aid but with sugar substitute instead?

I love sparkling water - lime flavored mostly. Its not sweet, but is somehow more refreshing and "fun" than regular water.

I've never drank a ton of juice, and I've generally favored water, but now? I'm so sick of it. What are some not terribly calorie-laden alternatives? My boyfriend puts a squirt of lime in it, but that's not enough. I miss my lemonade but I can't afford the calories right now. What do you do?
