If it's more walking than you normally do, then I'm with Enzyme and Vik - count it as a 30 min mile, and count the amount you think you actually walked for.

I figure out how far I actually walked and then work that in with how fast I usually walk (I generally assume a 30-minute mile). It's not perfect math, but it works. I have a hard time counting walking as exercise since it's just how I get to places, so I'm ok with underestimating it.

I was out shopping today too. And it was the most awful experience ever and this wouldn't be an issue if someone would have had a gun because I would have just ended my misery.

ahem. Anyway, you could count it - but I know when I shop I'm not walking anywhere very quickly and most of the time is spent standing around. So - if I was out for 5 hours, I would maybe say that I was really actually WALKING for say, an hour or something.

Make sense?

I do that with golf, because if I put in that I golfed for 2 hours, the cal burn is really high and Im not sure it's that correct, so instead I might just reduce the time a bit.

Today I was out shopping for 5 hours...I don't have a car, so I take transit and walk everywhere. How should I calculate this as exercise? Should I? It doesn't seem like exercise because I'm not breaking a sweat, but it's still walking. I figure I should account for some of the 3+ hours I was walking around the city...

What would Glitter do?
