I'm doing horribly; haven't even checked in here for weeks and weeks. Or weighed myself; I'm sure I've gained. all the old bad habits just re-asserted themselves as soon as I stopped paying close attention.

I've been doing it since the 2nd monday in January, and so far I have lost about 15 lbs. I feel good about myself because I'm a fairly lazy person, so it's a bit of a boost to actually be making progress.

I just want to get more disciplined in the rest of my life.

Didds- I think you can make it work - just cut back other places or up the exercise.

I too feel like I am doing horrible.
The first month I felt like I did GREAT. Lost 4.5lbs and felt good. Then something happened and for a whole month I stopped doing everything and gained EIGHT POUNDS. I'm still amazed at how fast it flies back on, even considering I didn't think I was eating THAT BAD.

So, I'm actually up to my highest weight I've ever been (at least knowingly). Its a major kick in the stomach to think that now that I'm trying to watch my weight, I weigh more than when I didn't give a rats ass.

That being said, I'm slowly taking steps to get back into gear. Last week I exercised 3 days - which I think was my first 3 day week this year. I have to remind myself that even just doing a half hour is better than nothing - if nothing else to get in the routine. It also helps that the weather is FINALLY getting nice and I WANT to be outside.

I tend to eat pasta a couple times a week, so I'm trying to cut down on that. I have a bit of a problem with my lunches - usually I can't really think of anything to eat other than a lean cuisine or soup - gets boring and expensive.

I don't know, I just have to keep on trucking.

Didds - I don't know if this is the healthiest idea but one night when I knew I was going out drinking, I exercised a ton of will power and only ate 1000-1100 calories, then I drank vanilla vodka and diet cokes all night. If you eat pretty lowly calorically and figure out a type of booze that doesn't have a ton of calories (usually some sort of hard liquor mixed with diet soda or a light beer) then you can figure out how many you want to have (1 at bar A, 1 at bar B if on a pubcrawl) and just stick to that. Usually you can have quite a few beers or mixed drinks and still not blow it too badly. 1 shot of vodka is approximately 60 calories, a light beer can be as much as 140 calories. This works for me but YMMV of course.

I am doing terrible but I'm not going to overly beat myself up about it. I've GAINED weight but flip flopping is how I roll. I totally went off the plan when I went on vacation. Who diets on vacation? Anyway, at last check I gained 5 lbs and I would have to say it's not a lie since I had to pull the safety pin out of my pants this morning (when you're a flip flopper you never permanently alter your pants).

I'm not going to put it down on my weigh in. Tracking weigh ins is out until I get back down to 168. I don't need the negativity involved with watching my tracker move UP.

Anyway, I've discovered how easy it is to cook frozen veggies and that I think frozen fruit is the bees knees of desert and snacks. On lazy days I can eat veggies with a LC, on non lazy days I can cook fish or chicken (YEAH, THAT'S FROZEN TOO). I cook for 1 so buying fresh food tends to be super wasteful.

So here is hoping I get quickly back on track.

A question though, do you think getting wicked wasted 1 night a week is going to hurt me badly? Not EVERY week but for the next few weeks it probably will be every week because there are a lot of parties for various reasons (going away, birthday, st. paddys, pub crawl).

Howdy team! I figured that we could use a check in seeing as its been nearly 2 months. How is everyone doing? How are you feeling? It would especially be nice to hear from people who signed up but don't post at all. I'll start...

I started the Spark-plan on January 15. In the last two months I have lost 11 lbs. I am still in disbelief that I've actually done this myself but all my pants except the one pair that was too tight are falling off me so it must be real.

Right now I am starting my journey on the next 10 lbs. I am a little worried that my body is just not going to want to give the weight up and I keep getting pessimistic but I am trying to stay off the scale which leads to obsessing. I am just going to keep plugging away with my exercise at the gym and eating healthy, pretty much keep doing what Im doing, and if I hit a roadblock down the road, I'll deal with that when I get to it. I know that I didn't used to weigh this much so I must be able to shed some more poundage, at least that's my rationale.

Ok, your turn!
