this week is really stressful because it's report card week and ALL of the grading has to be done immediately, kids get upset, i have meetings with parents, etc. so, to battle the busy-ness, i'm trying to schedule morning gym appointments. it worked yesterday, and today's my early day so i'm going to go in the evening, but i'm going to try for w, th, f before-work gym appointments. that way i can't even begin to make up excuses to not go, unlike the list i can come up with during the day before an evening appointment... i figure i don't know how to battle my stress, so maybe i can accommodate it?

A couple weeks ago my choice was to clean or go to the gym - and the gym totally won. I guess you just need to find that one thing you hate more than exercise!

I get stressed out about the state of my house too. It's something I'm trying really hard to work on...I'm actually more motivated to work out than I am to get my house in order! It used to be easy because we would move every year or two years (when we lived in apartments) so we would have to go through everything and get rid of stuff. I haven't really found a good system yet for dealing with all the clutter and messes that accumulate in our house.

Oh goodness! That stinks! I had electrical/computer trouble with my car last year - it was still drivable if I didn't mind the car shutting off on me every now and then. It ended up being the main computer and somehow, miraculously Ford replaced it for free (on a 5 year old car!)

Anyway, I think stress is my major factor that I need to deal with. My brother stresses me out and I have to deal with him every day. I get overwhelmed with things and then get stressed out that my house is a mess.

I think I'm dealing better than I used to, but it's still definitely something that will totally derail me.

I'm not sure if people will be interested in this or not, but I thought I would start a thread and see. Stress and life in general can be major factors in diet and exercise (of course) and just general well-being. So I thought maybe this could be a thread for support or just vents about things you have on your mind or need advice about?

I got inspired to start the thread because I've had a really bad week! Something went majorly wrong with my car - either electrical or computer related, both things that are really expensive to fix, like $2000-$3000 and I only owe $2500 on the car! We don't have the money to even get it looked at right now, but I can't drive it until we get it fixed. So I'm stressed about that - my husband and I are sharing a car which works out okay for now but will not work long-term.
