I measured myself the other day.

everything was almost as inch bigger than what I thought. Last month, I would have told myself that was just pms or something and forgotten about it. This time I'm writing it down (I'll check here - thanks for that info!) and will track it.

I'm so scared to check body fat, but then again I bet that will really motivate me to get my ass in the gym

yeah, there's a place where you enter your weight where you can track measurements.

I usually write mine in a notebook but I've been too lazy to measure myself.

Arabellita - Today when I logged in, I went to the 'weigh in' section to enter my weight for the dady & there was a section for measurements. I don't remember seeing that when I first signed up, but it's there now.

(there's even a printable pdf tape measure!)

I don't have a scale at home (on purpose), so I just weigh myself once a week at the gym before I see my personal trainer, because he always asks. Well, sometimes I get kind of obsessive and weigh myself several times a week...

But other than that, when I joined my gym they had this special promotion where you got a fitness assessment. I went in and did that, the guy took all my stats (weight, bodyfat percentage, measurements) and I did a fitness test. He just called me last week to do another one, so I'm going in for that tomorrow. I'm pretty excited to see the numbers, because I know how much weight I have lost, but I am curious about the other stuff.

The scales that do bodyfat, the ones that are reliable are pretty spendy. Id invest in a tape measure before I would invest in a fancy scale, but I know its a lot harder to keep track without a scale.

So I have this idea to weigh myself, take my measurements, and body fat percentage. But I find that a) I don't have a scale, b) I'm too lazy and c) I'm too scared to hear what my body fat is.

I should do this soon so I can actually track the changes. Sparkpeople needs a place where you can put in other things besides weight! Like body fat % and measurements. Once I start doing weights, I will gain weight before I lose it, because I put on muscle so quickly. And I don't want to be discouraged by being further away from my goal!

What are you all doing to keep track of the fitness/weight loss? anyone got a good scale recommendation?
