I printed this week's menus so I am going to start sticking to those.

I am going to go outside for awhile (and try to do some walking around, but my 2 yr old is a slowpoke)

I am going to do 5 strength training exercises

i will write down everything i eat today
(even if it is only a tiny bit)
i will drink 8 glasses of water
i will take the pooch on a nice walk when i get home

also - hitting the grocery store today
will try to avoid buying crap

Use my elliptical machine for 20 minutes, and take the dog for a walk.

Today I biked to the station (3.6km)
I will go for a walk at lunchtime, and after work I have to go to the mall, so I'm going to go home and get my gym clothes and do that at the same time. Hoping I can go straight back to week 4 of the couch to five km after a two week break being busy and sick.

1. not beat myself up for taking a day off from the gym.
2. not beat myself up for having nachos and a beer after school with a friend.
3. not succumb to the siren call of the vending machine so that i can better justify the nacho and beer date.

so, after having slept in instead of going to yoga, today i resolve to:

1. keep within my calorie range
2. run week 5, day 1 of the couch to 5k (i've totally been an armchair runner for the last couple of months)
3. do 5 back and ab exercises at the gym

yesterday i didn't do strength exercises, but the other two went well.

today i already
1. did 40 minutes of cardio
2. did 5 strength (leg) exercises

now i just want to
1. stay within my calorie range
2. not watch t.v. to facilitate actually going to bed early.

My goal for today is to not over indulge in anything.

Family is descending all week long and that means that there will be many many opportunities to eat badly.

So
- Stay within calorie range
- Print off menu for rest of the week (to help stay in calorie range)
- Try and get half an hour on the elliptical in.

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

- I tried to drink more water.
- I was on my feet all day at work, so that has to be more calories burned than if I was sitting on my bum.
- I totally hit my calorie range.


I accidentally had a beer with dinner though... oops :(
