I typically walk at our community park/station that has a great walking trail. However, I have come to love running so I run there any chance I get.

Walking or swimming & I also volunteer at a petting zoo ranch and get plenty of exercise there.

Haven't been exercising since chemo started, but I try to walk and do qigong and maybe yoga. I also try to play clarinet for my lungs.

I gave up coffee for the most part. Was a coffee drinker most of my life. Started on tea when doctor said only 1-2 cups coffee a day. Sometimes if I don't get my tea in the morning I drink a cup of coffee. I try to drink 64 oz water a day.

Neither but if I had to choose between the two it would be tea. I usually drink water and an occasional coke if I need a caffeine kick

I want to join the walk but want make sure I understand what I need to do. I'm thinking of choosing Manitoba which obviously I cannot do in the five days we have left in June so I would just carry whatever miles I have left over to the next month and continue until I have walked the entire province? The only miles that count are the ones we do for exercise and not our total miles for the day because I usually average about 6-7 miles a day in total. Thank you!

Fresh and frozen. I rarely if ever buy canned.

I also garden and freeze, can or dehydrate what we don't eat fresh.

Which weight loss mistake do you usually make?

Not appreciating slow weight loss
Expecting the same results as everyone else
Feeling upset over inconsistent weight loss
Expecting immediate results
Letting one setback throw me off course
Eating too few calories

FOR ME....I think at one point or time I have felt like all the above statements. Mostly I would say feeling up set over inconsistent weight loss.

Have kept off 78 pounds for 10 years

Most helpful healthy habit is probably eating plenty of fresh veggies

Oh, my favorite low sodium salad dressing:

a cup or so of vinegar (vary the types: balsamic, red wine, apple cider, etc)

a Tablespoon or so of mustard (yellow, deli, grey poupon, etc)

a Tablespoon or so of Mrs. Dash Herb and Garlic (I make the copycat recipe)

I save my mustard bottles and use them when there's about a tablespoon left. I like the Publix mustard bottles because I can see through them.

What's your biggest healthy eating accomplishment so far?

Cooking more meals at home

Eating more fruits and vegetables

Turning down my old temptations

Learning to love healthy foods

Logging my Nutrition all or most days

Giving up soda

FOR ME.....I would say cooking meals at home. I have control over what my DH and put into our systems. (He also has control) DH likes to cook also!! We do eat more fruit and veggies. And we are learning to eat more healthy foods
