I will second what Cajun said - show up on SP EVERYDAY. Even if you don't do anything else that day - it will always be on your mind.

Pick a few forums to respond to every day from the Cafe or other teams. One I especially like is "what is the last fruit or vegetable you ate?". No judgement, no ought to's. Just what is it.

I find myself upping my fruit and veg intake so I have something decent to say! Even if no one else reads it, I will type it in.

Participate in the daily chat for your teams. You get to know people and you feel accountable to them somehow. And the good thing is, it's a place you can say 'I feel my motivation slipping, help!'

Pretty soon you will feel like moving again or eating healthy, you just gotta stick with SP.

I believe we all have those periods of time ..... it does get tiring and especially boring for us that lose weight so slow we feel like we are getting nowhere ... but yet, WE ARE !!

It is definitely a mind set ! being here helps each and every day for me .... I could have gained back everything I lost, and probably more, if I had not come to SP daily to keep a focus on it ... good luck to you ...

I'm a long way from goal but most definitely not as far away as when I started !

title do you want to lose the weight? Gist is that we want to be 'skinny' but don't want to do the work to get to 'skinny'. When I finally got serious about being more health conscious and losing excess weight I realized that in all times before I DID NOT want to do the work.

Life is work. If the work is enjoyable it may seem less of a chore but, like or no, requires effort. When I don't want to put in the effort is when my life stagnates. Over the past several years I have been a stagnant lump more often than not. Not only in health related areas...this is a big realization and confession. To myself and to the board. So how to head it off at the pass? The slip onto the murky stagnation I mean? Any ideas, suggestions, what's worked for you ...thanks

when i read through this topic did not show. Today's email was do you want to lose weight ?Yes. do you want to do the work to lose the weight? Oftentimes NO...that got me thinking hence the paragraphs above...
