Haha Lynn, I asked my doctor...what is this here that he's kicking that is sore...he's said it was my liver and I had to get a bio book to show when you're pregnant where your organs go and he was right! I can totally understand the freak out with the foot! We took an overnight train ride and he didn't move the whole time, totally worried me! Of course the next day he started up again.

Jen - Lol yeah, getting ready is fun...of course you're getting ready for the most exciting life change of all! You will be amazed at the depth of love that's coming!

I half wondering if this boy will never sleep! He will go a while here and there without moving much, but morning noon and night he's wiggling about! I'm doing kick counts now to monitor his movement, the past two days it took 6 and 7 minutes to get 10 movements lol

Carol, I love hearing about your retirement prep. It sounds like you're going to have an exciting start! Of course we've been similarly busy with as different kind of prep... Replaced two floors (carpet to floating laminate) and fixing up the bathroom. Still need to replace a couple doors and get the furniture in!

I think our outdoor y pool is still open for a couple more weeks, but the weather is shifting, and I just don't quite have an urge to swim outside when it's this cool. I'll have to get back into my post work swim routine at the indoor pool. Otherwise I've been walking with hubby.

Ha, ha Carol...Overbooking with vacations definitely OK.... I'm overbooking myself with volunteer work! We'll see how it goes!

As for the kicking thing...I remember that as well. My firstborn kicked so much I was exhausted sometimes. And he had HARD kicks. I would hear cracking....Asked my OB...What's that cracking noise? He laughed and said, "It's your ribs! The baby is kicking your ribs! Sometimes they fracture the ribs....But there's nothing you can do and is RARELY an issue." One night, we were at the movies, and his foot began to push OUT. Very slowly, his leg pushed and pushed and pushed. You could see the outline of his foot through my top! I could not concentrate on the movie because I feared his foot would pop out of my belly! LOL It didn't hurt, but it wasn't very comfortable. Tight. The very next day (it had gone back eventually), HOURS went by with ZERO movement! I began to panic! Thankfully, I had my weekly appointment (so I was in my final month). I told the doctor...he looked concerned....more panic. He listened and said, "The heart beat is VERY strong...So the baby is just resting. Relax!" My hubby rolled his eyes. He said, "You complain the baby kicks too much,, and then he rests and you complain about that." Hey....it's motherhood.....Good training....because it goes on and on like that. LOL

Haha Kourtney - Clutch your back and waddle from side to side with a limp and tell them you're having a really, really hard pregnancy and you're concerned about getting on...

I had to laugh about the peeing! I thought I had a bladder infection and was going to the pharmacy to get meds. On my way there, crossing the street the light was changing so I jogged across and it made my chest sore. So I started thinking...hmm...maybe not bladder meds...maybe a pregnancy test? We'd been trying for two years so you can imagine how happy I was.

Now if you can just talk Maureen into having babies... Hubby has offered to be the nanny...

Awww Jen...I loved the feeling of the kicking and the rolling. My son used to kick hard enough that people near me would jump lol! My daughter was breech until a week before and when she turned, I had to contort my body to accept the movement - wow! It was awesome!

We just moved 13 tons of sand into our little pool in the backyard. We're selling the house so we decided it would be easier/cheaper than refurbishing the pool. Right now I'm thinking it was the wrong choices lol. It's sad that the money will go to taxes, but it's good that we're converting to a Roth. We'll have to sell one more house to get there - sigh.

The good news is that we just booked 3 cruises over the next two years! Kind of a "yay" we're retired - So yeah, Lynn...overbooking is okay! We're going around Hawaii, to Vancouver, then up and back from Alaska! Then in 2020 we're going to go from Chile to San Diego. Which the ultimate plan is to go on another cruise up to Antartica from Chile, come back and do a backpacking trip in Paine del Torres, then catch the ship back to San Diego. Now I'm looking at booking a month in Panama on an island!

Thank you Heather and Jen ☺️

My work trip to Seattle went well. Definitely ready to head home though. This bed and my back did not agree.

I’m really proud of all the walking I did while here. I explored the city a lot and walked 5-6mi every day. Today will be all travel (on my way to the airport now, land at 620p edt) so I’m planning to binge Netflix.

I have a middle seat sadly. I’m trying to think of a way to get one of those 1st class upgrades by mentioning that I’m with child... but I’m not showing yet and also that’s be awkward...

xoxo

Kourtney, we're having a boy (and he'll be a Jr)

It took a while for me to feel the kicking, near 20 weeks, it felt like the muscle twitch you get in your eye from stress, only it was in my side (just by where the cat was perched lol)

Congratulations Kourtney! Yay! I was so hopeful it would be just a matter of time before you got to have another go :) I hope it's smooth sailing for you to March!

I'm feeling more and more kicks and it's making me excited for December, but there's still a lot of stuff to do... So I'm like "hurry up! Wait! No! I need all that time!"

It's my super busy season at work so I'll do my best to do what I can but conserve as much energy as I can for the nesting

CAROL: Thanks...It's easy to "overdo" it in the beginning as you feel like....Wow..at last...Now I can do what I want to do...and overbook yourself. Did that the 1st year.....had a normal two years after that and now finding myself back to perhaps overdoing it...We will see. Just gotta be good at time management!

As for trading houses...That sounds like a great idea! Wouldn't work for us, I don't think. Although I live in a great community that is often on the top ten best places to live in America, it's still ILLINOIS!!!!! And it's still in the CHICAGO area! We are far from Chicago crime (35 miles away), but we have such a bad rap and have become the laughing stock of the USA....not sure there's much of a market for folks to want to trade houses with us! LOL Who would want to go from exotic, to neurotic ! ha....

COURTNEY.....Oh my goodness!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! That is super exciting!!!!! Boy, that March date will be here before you KNOW it!!!! Can't wait to see all the photos that comes with a new baby!!!

HEATHER....So glad to hear your new job and your candle business is going really well! You've had some rough roads but you have clearly landed on your feet! Excellent news!

Have yet to dip in that pool.....Thinking it's just not going to happen until the gal who volunteers with me on this one thing gets trained and starts doing the other half of what I do....too long to explain and no one would really want to hear about it...not even me. LOL! But we will share duties and much of my prep work (working with junior high students) will be cut in half. One more week after this. Had to cancel my Crossfit workout today b/c a bracket from my braces fell off (I'm in sort term dental braces to straighten my teeth....have 2-5 weeks left and they are OFF). The hardware was poking in my gum! HOT week in the 90s.....so maybe just some cycling as I just can't run in heat and humidity! That's my excuse, anyway!

YAY Kourtney!!! emoticon

CONGRATULATIONS! I absolutely couldn't be happier for you!

Heather - I'm glad the new job is going so well! I hope the candle business really takes off!

I am plugging hard at my job and now that they let the CFO go I'm trying to straddle the two jobs. One of my friends (a headhunter) may have found me some help. It's funny, the person used to be a controller for one of these companies a number of years ago, so that could be a big help.

Hi!!! Sorry for being so absent lately - super busy and also exhausted.

The exhaustion has a good reason though... I’m pregnant! Due 3/2/19 (I’m 16 weeks) and having a baby girl. 😍😍😍

Should be around more soon, but I wanted to spread the news.

xoxo

Good Morning everyone! I'm here at my new desk in my new office for the first full week of work here with everyone together since July!! Last week I was in training all week, and it was very good training, but it's nice to be here with the team. I need to get myself better integrated so I can continue to provide value in this role. I like the job and the organization. I can handle the commute. So it will be nice to settle somewhere for a period of time and just work!

I did great at my craft fair this weekend!! If I can find a way to make candle making and selling my full time gig I will do it!! This is our busy time of the year with so many holiday shows. I'm so psyched! I'm also a bit tired today as the craft fair was open from 11 - 9, so it was a long time to be open, plus set up and break down time. It was a long day, but I get such a kick out of selling candles, the time went by pretty fast!

Time to get focused at work!! I'll check back and try to catch up from last week too. It was a whirlwind week!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day and week!!
