Just keep up the exercise and remember, even though you are pregnant, you don't need to gain much weight.

Lol first Maureen and now Heather? Hehehe

I did love California when I went, but I was in San Diego. Actually it reminded me quite a bit of home just with more sunshine.

Just a few weeks left until I head to Pennsic! I'm working on some sewing and been walking a lot. Helpful both in managing my blood sugars and acclimating to a whole lot of walking in the heat.

I've been doing really well with my post meal sugar levels, but I feel like my fasting levels are stubbornly high which is frustrating and worrying.

Well, if you came to live in this area of California you could have a job today! We are so impacted it makes it impossible to get people. I totally had to settle for less than I wanted in a plant accountant. I ended up paying $70k a year for someone with the background of a pretty basic staff accountant!.

Yes! Come visit! We can make your trip way less expensive! We are just outside of Monterey and have guest passes for the aquarium, have the other house near Paso Robles and Tom's father's house outside of San Francisco. Our Italians are going to be here for two weeks and we only had to rent houses for 5 of those days. It would have been nice if our house by Pismo Beach wasn't rented right now...but that's okay.

I'm not currently doing any challenges and I should be. I need to work less hours and get more cardio! We're planning to go kayaking this weekend and that should be nice. The work on the house is really good sustained exercise, but mostly it's not cardio.

Carol, I have always wanted to live in California. As a kid and then again as a young adult I went to CA with my parents, and I thought Monterey and Pebble Beach were the most beautiful places I'd ever seen in my life. We did Yosemite too and I took a trail ride there. It was awesome.

I think next year we are going to take the kid to CA. We'll definitely work it so we can spend some of our visit with you if you'll have us!!

Busy week of client work, candle making and interviews. Still no work on that job I really wanted, so I'm starting to think maybe I don't want to work for them if it takes them this long to make a hire. I had another good one that I now can't get the recruiter to respond to me on. Maybe everyone is just in total summer mode and I should just relax and do what I can to conserve money and hope I get a job by September!!! Or maybe I'll get enough clients that I don't need a job. But I'm not there yet.......

I've started my beachbody challenge!! So far, so good. It's not unlike Spark, but I get a lot of great videos on demand that are very challenging workouts so that's a bit different.

Have a great day everyone!!

I hate car issues! I've had a company car for almost thirty years and now own my first car after all that time. Don't get me wrong, I certainly prefer to have a company car, but not having to deal with partners or do all the "pretty" reporting is pretty awesome.

My Italian family comes next month! I'm super excited to have them come. It's going to be so great to take them around California. We've had so much fun touring Italy the times we've been over there which just makes it so cool to show them our beautiful state. We're going to stay two nights in Napa, a couple nights in San Francisco, Monterey and Big Sur, Cambria, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara and Yosemite! Doesn't that just sound like an awesome tour? We're going to do a tasting menu in Napa as well as some tastings, go for a hike and see the sights. Whale watching in Monterey as well as going to the Aquarium.

Oh, I wasn't very clear! The roof has been leaking when it rains. We went round and round with them and they finally fixed the sun roof. Then it rained and the rain came in the car again. So now I'm set up to have the windshield looked at by the place that replaced it last October. The roof was leaking before then, but maybe first it was the sunroof and then it was also the windshield. This car is a pain in the tail........ :)

Leaky car? Leaks what? Lol my car leaks in the rain a little, but for $1500 and no car payment I don't much care. I hope the dealership can figure yours out!

I'm pretty frustrated with work lately... Just a myriad of things... I wish I could find a job that doesn't get boring and frustrating after 2 years each time.

Hoping to get a swim tonight if the thunderstorms hold off.

I'm thinking maybe I should get new batteries for my scale at home to keep an eye on my weight again. But my sugar numbers have been pretty good at least and I'm just barely starting to show a belly so all seems well.

Woo hoo!! I had a nice weekend, and I have a busy week ahead of me. And then, off to the beach for a week.

I'm off to the car dealership again today because the darn car is still leaking. It's been exhausting dealing with this car but we have to keep taking it back because we can't have a car that leaks!!

I start my BeachBody challenge this week and I'm excited. I feel like I'm ready to get my body under control again! I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.

I hope everyone else had a great weekend!! Enjoy your week!!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!!
