Hi everyone! I'm in total candle production mode! I have a show this weekend, and hubby has one next weekend. Plus I have an internet order I have to fill!! I adore making candles and I hope I sell a whole lot of them this weekend.

I'm juggling so much.......I also am starting to have some traction on the job search. I heard back from the recruiter who set me up for the phone interview with his client that I had on Monday. I was wondering why he hadn't called, and he let me know he had been sick. Phew. So the client liked me and is working to schedule me for an in person interview next week. Yay! Plus I have the interview for the one I really want most scheduled for next Tuesday! And, two recruiters called me today with possible temp jobs! Yippee!!

PLUS I have a lot of client work to do that I have to crank on because I'm behind.....next week I'll be even more focused on clients because I'll be ahead on candle making......of course the kid is busy running me around doing things, and we have recital next weekend.....never a dull moment around here......

However, I am going to take a few hours to myself next week and go to a beach.......I just want to sit in the sun and walk on the beach and enjoy a little bit of time for me. I can get to the shore in about two hours, so why the heck not? I wanted to do this two years ago when I was first laid off but I was so hard on myself and frantic about finding a job that I didn't take that time. This time, I'm really a lot more relaxed. I think it's helping my job search.

I hope everyone is doing great! I love this time of year and this year I'm actually trying to relax and enjoy it.

Do what feels right. I think getting a Doula is the best think you could do! If I were pregnant in this time period I'd definitely do it. She will be all for you and help get the best medical attention and care.

This is our fifth day here in Oregon and I'm no longer waking up sore! Today I should finish packing up the kitchen and then we have to finish up two bedrooms, but they are close to being done. I have been through all of her paperwork and pulled out the important papers. Boy, that was a lot of work! She's not in as good standing money-wise as we'd hoped...but that is life. The property is probably worth close to a million, but she doesn't want to sell.

Heather - I hope one of your irons pays off big time!

I would skip any test that isn't really necessary. I avoided a lot of medical tests when I was pregnant by just refusing to do them. I was just over 35 when I got pregnant so they wanted to do an amnio. I asked what the point was. They said I could choose to terminate the pregnancy if the baby had Down's Syndrome. Plus there's a small risk the test would cause a miscarriage.
I said, hey, I paid around $20,000 of my own money to get pregnant, I'm not terminating for any reason, so let's skip the test.

Also the doula is a great idea!! Hang in there kid!!

Today is candle production day. Woo Hoo!! I love making candles!!! It's really a lot of fun.

Thanks Heather, I'm seeing a therapist and have for a while to help get prepared and coping with the medical interventions. I'm also hoping to hire a doula.

Sadly the blood draw failed again. I don't know that I'm going to let them try again. It's a genetic blood test, I'm not at any high risk, and at this point I think it's just not worth a third blood draw.

Hello from Oregon! Talk about a work out...wow! We’ve been going from 6 am to 6 pm non stop! Packing, moving, cleaning and all that stuff, trying to get my friends mother out of her house and into an apartment with semi-assist in Tucson.

I’m taking two weeks off work and I’m hoping we can get it done faster!

Jen, I hope you find some relief from your anxiety. I don't know how much you know about being pregnant and giving birth, but from my experience I would suggest to you that you start working on a plan to deal with medical interventions throughout the pregnancy. Maybe there are internet resources or groups where you can go and share and find coping strategies.

I say this because you want to be as prepared as you can for whatever you might find on your journey through pregnancy, labor and delivery. I don't say this to make you more stressed. But I think being prepared with breathing and meditation and stress reducing strategies might really be helpful to you through this process.

I hope the gestational diabetes consultation will be helpful as well. I imagine they will have lots of things for you to do to feel better and in more control during this process.

Sending lots of hugs and deep breaths to you........

Hi folks :)

I had a decent weekend and a nice long walk last night. It helped my headspace a lot.

I still didn't sleep much last night though, pending blood draw this afternoon had me fitful and nightmarish. Hopefully this will be the last one for a while.

I'm also frustrated flying blind with the diabetes stuff, but my consultation is finally scheduled now for Tuesday next week. It'll be good to get some answers and guidance.

Good Morning!! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I had a little street fair that I went to and I made a little spending money, so yay!! This upcoming weekend I have a bigger event to attend so I'm getting ready for it today. I love these events and I really hope to sell more at this bigger event.

I also had a recruiter contact me Friday and he liked me and the client liked my resume so I'm having a phone interview this morning with the client. It's for a pretty cool job. Unfortunately it's in NYC so it may turn out to be logistically impossible, but they seem open to working remotely one or two days a week after I get up and running, so it's worth at least talking to them and starting a conversation. I'm excited for that.

I'm going round and round with NJ unemployment just trying to get my benefits. It's not really a lot of money, but I need it, and so I keep jumping through their hoops. Patience is a virtue, right? :)

I hope you all have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!
