So nice to hear from you gals....
LAURIE.... I agree w/Carol....sounds like a wonderful "vacation" playing with your one grandchild and holding another newborn. :D A different kind of work.
CAROL....Know the feeling of the baby fix. My grand"baby" is now 5 1/2 and in kindergarten. Where does the time go. No more kiddies for them. She had a tough pregnancy and doesn't want to go through that again. My other son got married last May. They are in their mid 30s and so wrapped up in their careers...Not sure if they'll have kids. So this could be it! Time will tell. We have a to of fun with her.
Retirement is the bomb! Sometimes I wonder how I got anything done while I was working.
Hubby went into the ER last night, he's fine, but was being cautious. Almost passed out while standing to go to the bathroom! Had experienced heart fluttering on and off over the years, but it was worse this past week. One way to by-pass the ER (especially during a bad flu season), is mention any heart issue! They'll throw you on a monitor faster than you can blink! Immediately saw some PVCs going on (funky heart rates quite common). But that is not associated with near passing out unless you have a super ton of them going on which is rare. There is actually a condition where men pass out while they "go"....but usually, that is upon getting up in the middle of the night or first thing in the AM of which, this is not...but it was morning still. To be safe, they kept him and are running all kinds of tests. So far....everything is checking out, though they didn't like his potassium level. It wasn't bad....It was actually at the lowest number considered normal. 3.6. They'd like it to be 3.8....so they gave him some horse pills to swallow and remeasured during the night. Wanted to see if it had any positive effect on the PVCs. He gets a stress test and an echo this AM, then gets discharged and has a 30 day monitor placed on him. INSURANCE! They won't cover the monitor unless you are discharged! Huh? I'm sure there is some reason.....It just sounds so silly! But.....whatever!
Raining on top of all that snow we had....rapid melt with heavy rains spells.....flood watches and warnings. At least we are hearing tons of birds singing....Spring is around the corner? Old Man winter is 2/3rds over. Yeah!
