Glad to know your daughter is on the path to recovery, Heather.
Sounds like you have your hands full with your house, CalGalFox!

Thanks for adjusting the sticky topics in the forums; I am using 100 mile challenge thread, so it's much easier to get to it since it is at the top of the list. Bam!!

I think I have managed to swim twice a week for 3 weeks this year (excellent!!), and THIS week I finally swam a mile in one session.... and then some! It felt very good to be able to do that. I was not very active today, unless you count the steps I took grocery shopping, which my tracker didn't pick up because I forgot to move it off my wrist. oops! I got caught up on dishes in the kitchen today, but I did not have enough energy to tackle the mountain of laundry that needs to be folded. Maybe tomorrow.

This weekend, I plan to attend a piano duet concert and a musical play! That sort of softens the blow of the birthday party at Chuck E Cheese that I will take my 4yo to attend.... He has never been to CEC, and come to think of it, I don't think I have either! Not exactly looking forward to it, but will try to have fun for the sake of the birthday boy and his parents. My little guy is sure to have a blast.

Hi all! The orthopedic doc looked at the ankle, said it was definitely a sprain, nothing more, and so three weeks in the walking boot, and then back to the air cast if she's feeling better faster, then 12 sessions of PT if she feels she needs it. No surgery, nothing torn, just a sprain, so thank goodness!!!

This is our third sprain in about 5 years so it's the same as all the others. We're pretty good at this by now!!

So we will go to the dance performance on Sunday, which is the showcase where all the competition dances are performed, mainly for the troupe parents and family, so the teachers can see them on stage and then make adjustments if needed before the competition season begins. I know it will be super hard for Sydney to sit and watch, but there's really no other choice. Then we get her back in shape for the first competition in mid-March. She will (hopefully) literally be back to full dancing about a week and a half before that competition. Well, at least she'll get to dance and this injury isn't as serious as it could have been, so we hold on to that!!

As for me, I'm moving along with my commitment to exercise every day. Even when it's hard to do, I still make sure I do the minimum 10 minutes, just like the Spark Guy did when he was starting out. It's good to just keep me on track and focused.

Have a great day everyone!!

Hey Heathhill!

Hope your daughter's ankle is doing better. When our daughter was in middle school she twisted her ankle playing in soccer match. I was amazed at how well the hard plastic splint kept the swelling down and her quick recovery. Hope the same for your girl.

Hi folks! I went to set the sticky but you guys were on it!

I had a fantastic weekend as far as workouts go. We took two more loads of stuff to the new house on Saturday and I started prepping for painting. My husband pulled down the wall between the formal dining and breakfast nook so that we can open it up with a wide archway. Neither of us is sore today which is very cool. I'm going to start cutting back on my work hours and I want to fill them with biking. I'll add swimming as soon as we get the pool fixed.

Good morning! (Well afternoon now)

I've got my gym bag with me - keeping my schedule :)

Heather, did you see the note about moving the sticky post in the 100 mile challenge for 2018?

Good Morning all!!

Quick start to the thread as I'm having a challenging Monday morning. The kid sprained her ankle at dance yesterday so it was a late evening at the ER and then a busy morning trying to get an appointment with an orthopedist. Ugh.

The weekend was pretty good up until that!

Hope everyone is doing well!! I'll be back later to catch up!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE week!!
