Woo hoo on the big 7-0! I can't speak to the breaststroke as I suck at it. I think it's a family thing since my son can't do it either haha. When he was in high school he was on swim team and did fly and free but never breast. They had a competition where they were killing the other school and the coach didn't want do devastate them so they had my son do the medley and he was a length and a half ahead of everybody else. It was amazing to watch his butterfly, he was flying. He hit breaststroke and the first person eventually caught up and passed him and slowly but surely every single person on both teams past him. He came in dead last (which is what the coach wanted), but the whole place was screaming for him. It was the funniest competition ever. He got out and took a bow as he was belly laughing, the whole crowd cheered and screamed.

...so yeah, no help here.

Hi All,
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving holiday. I missed my swimming as they closed the pool over the holidays.

I had two stroke clinics this past week and am making improvements but the breast stroke is not coming along. I just don't get when the arms and legs move together. I never get streamlined. Any tips/tricks for getting this stroke? Am a bit frustrated.

Hope to get in some good workouts this week. I have neglected my weight training so am starting it up again.

This coming week is my birthday--a big one--the 70! The challenge is going to be to not get off track with the diet with dinners out and surprises of cake and such.

Have a good weekend and enjoy the holiday madness!

I worked some hours on Friday and Sunday, but it felt really good to get the work done. Today at lunch I think I'll run home and see how far on steam cleaning the carpets I can get. That will likely be my work out today and tonight, plus stripping the rest of the wallpaper and if I'm fast enough, I'll start sanding the walls.

My new employee starts tomorrow and I'm super excited to have her back! She was my accounting manager two jobs ago, but she got sabotaged by our evil HR person. This company is so much better and I have no worries about having her here. I really need the help.

Good Morning!! Welcome to a new week!

I had an amazingly relaxing weekend. I can't recall the last time I just enjoyed four days off work with no stress. This new job is pretty cool.

I'm back working out hard on the treadmill and feeling pretty darn good about that as well. I need that time to work just on myself and to take care of my body. I'm also refocused on the food. I've really let it slip the past few months and it shows!! Eating better always gives me more energy and focus in all areas of my life.

So, this week is a normal work and personal life week. It'll be busy, but I'm feeling ready for it after that nice family break.

Have a FUN and ACTIVE week!!!
