It sounds like you'll have a lovely weekend! I understand about having quiet time in the house alone. Haha...over this last year I've had a bit too much of that and will love going back to living with my husband full time. It's only been three nights a week that I've been without him, but it seems like a lot.

We're waiting anxiously to hear if our offer will get accepted on the old house that we are trying to buy. It's a 1941 house that has been kept original, though not fully maintained. It's just our kind of project! We expected to hear last night, so I'm not sure we're going to get it. We'd fix it up to be a rental while looking for a house we really want. It's a great interim step and would rent for more than we pay every month.

Hi all!! I'm so excited it's Thursday! I have tomorrow off, and my hubby is away for the weekend at a craft fair, so I get some time alone in my house!! I love time alone in my house. I clean, I hang with my dogs, and I just enjoy the solitude. I don't get that very often!! It's a nice treat.

Of course, I have a lot of things planned to take care of this weekend, like replacing the windshield in the car, renewing my driver's license, cleaning the fridge......ok, none of that sounds relaxing or fun, but I love the time alone to get things accomplished. Oh, and I have some time to work on my clients' books this weekend, so that's a good thing too!

I'm enjoying using the pedometer to track my steps. It's very accurate and better for me that the fitbit was. It's keeping me aware of my activity and movement, and that's a good thing! Tonight I have dance class, so I should get in a lot of steps again.

Have a great day everyone!!! Keep active.

Happy birthday Jen! Yes, balance is EVERYTHING!

My current employer just realized that me leaving is a pretty "oh sh!t" moment hahahaha. He's asked if I will consult, and I will. That could turn out to be a very good deal for both of us.

It's my birthday! Lol it's a very mundane day, I'm sitting at the DMV to renew my license.

I had a decent swim last night though difficult on account of a less than courteous lane mate. Aaaaand then I had a little Welsh whisky tasting with friends. Balance, right?

I heard a long story on the news this morning about the fires in CA. Wow, really scary stuff. I hope you and yours are safe Carol. I hope the fires can be contained or controlled soon, but it sure sounded like there wasn't much firefighters could do since the fires move so fast.

I'm so glad for you on the new job and the new house!! Very exciting stuff. I can't wait to hear about the new job!!

I had a nice riding lesson last night, and burned off a lot of calories!! Life is good. :)

We've got fires going over on our side of the states! We've been having windy weather and that gets scary with fires.

I tendered my resignation, accepted the new job and put an offer in on a house that's closer to my new company! Woo hoooo!

Hi folks :)

Heather I'm glad the game was fun. I totally understand irrational fear. Sometimes being reminded of the rationality is helpful, but mostly it's good to remember that emotions are valid regardless of their rationality and sometimes you just have to feel them till they're gone.

I'm feeling the stress of my busy season at work right now. I had a really fun night Friday but mostly crashed all weekend and barely left the house. I got a lot of painting work done for a competition display and it's all ready to go.

I didn't hit the pool all weekend so I've got my bag with me to head to the y after work.

And yes, tropical storm remnants are making life swampy here in Delaware too. I can't complain though, I'm not cold! Lol

Good Morning!!! Traffic was light due to the holiday, so that was really nice!

I had a lovely weekend starting with a fun football game at the high school followed by a pretty nice uneventful day on Saturday, and then a trip into NYC to see a Broadway show. All in all, a very fun weekend.

We are getting the remnants of tropical depression Nate, and wow, it really feels like the tropics out there. No one here in NJ seems to like humidity. I love humidity, but that's probably because I grew up in Maryland and am used to it being humid all the time!!

So, it should be a nice week at work. I have Friday off to take care of personal things, so it's gonna be a short work week too. That's always nice!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE week!!
