I like the "soul-crushed by the employer" - It's good you're out of that job.

The headhunter that I'm working with has found me a dream job, but it would be a 55 minute commute, or we'd need to move. I haven't interviewed for it yet. I did negotiate a 15% raise at my current job, which should make me feel better about staying here...but I'm not so sure it does. I'm pretty up in the air. If I take a new job I probably will delay retiring for another year...which would change our current travel plans for next September.

I love doing art fairs. We'll probably do some of those when we retire.

Hi! I was so busy yesterday on my day off that I missed coming here. Thanks for getting us started Jen!

We have a lot of wetlands here in NJ as well. Where I live we have a few reservoirs for the urban areas closer to NYC. We definitely get a lot of rain!

I had a great street fair experience on Sunday. I sold about 24 candles and that's twice as much as I've sold at the smaller fairs I've attended. There's another craft fair this weekend for both hubby and me (so lamps, candle holders and candles), and I'm so excited to go sell our things! It's fun to sell what I know is a well made hand crafted item that I love in my home and I know others will love in theirs. Yippee!!

This week is insanely busy but at least my 9 - 5 job is normal. It's so nice not to feel soul crushed by a dysfunctional employer!! Life is good.....

I'm also back on the exercise bandwagon daily. Forcing myself to work out daily, even if only for 15 minutes, is the only way I've ever been able to keep myself on track. I feel good about it!!

Have a great week everyone!!

Yeah health care is an issue. It's amazing to me that the biggest stumbling block for retirement is health care for me.

I can't imagine marshy areas! Actually, now that I'm further north we do have sloughs, but they're tidal.

I called a headhunter yesterday about a job and she said that she was thinking about me for the job and wondered what I was up to! Perfect timing. I sent her my updated resume and we'll see what happens! She is the only recruiter that they use, it's a great company that's been around for a long time and I've got a really good chance at it!

Hi folks!

Back at it and my busy season is here. One of my main clients does open enrollment materials and it is healthcare open enrollment season! And I just got my renewal options at work and they're frustrating, so expensive :( I hope our country can get it's act together on this crap and that's about as far as I'll say on that.

Anyway, my YMCA outdoor pool is open till October 1st this year! So I enjoyed a mile swim and sun this weekend.

Carol, I read your comment about our random lakes and giggled to myself that Delaware has random/seasonal wetlands. It's so low and flat here, we just get marshy areas all over the place.
