beautiful place indeed :) I highly recommend it to anyone who's ever in the Philly (adjacent) area. I'm incredibly grateful for my annual membership that lets me go whenever the mood strikes.

Hi gang!

I'm glad you had a good one! Too often the week bleeds over. Yay Sydne! GL, fingers crossed fir Thursday/ Friday.

"Engineers are not typically very people oriented." LOL. I'm sure with an engineer looking over the shoulder the houses you've redone have immaculate workmanship as he;d accept nothing less (as would you, you married him after all).

I visited Longwood Gardens online before, Jen. Beautiful! A great place to center oneself. As long as you're moving a walk sounds great!

Highlight of the weekend? Replacing a treadmill walking belt. That might explain my (lack of) enthusiasm for the rest of it. Paying people to advise, not how I visualized this stage.

Hi folks :)

Heather, that note does sound good!

I also have noticed that it's brighter when I'm leaving work again. It's been so cloudy and wet the past few weeks though and the cabin fever is settling in.

To combat the cabin fever I spent a good few hours at Longwood gardens yesterday with my bestie. We wandered through the conservatory smelling flowers and enjoying the sunshine. Always good this time of year...

My back/hip is still bugging me so I haven't swam and have only walked. I'll stretch it out tonight with some yoga at home and hope that helps.

Carol, I have absolutely noticed the longer days!! I am always so happy at the end of January because although it's cold, and it can be dark here with clouds, we really are getting longer time with daylight and that really helps my mood!

I heard from the CFO on Friday that he is going to Florida this week to meet with the current Controller to work out final arrangements and he would be in touch with me Thursday or Friday. I heard back from the CEO today as a response to the thank you note I sent him last week and he said " Thanks Heather. I really enjoyed meeting you as well. I loved your passion for the job. Stay tuned!
A"

So, that all seems pretty good! If they can just offer what I need to make to go into the city, I'll take it. It's my dream job.....but I refuse to get ahead of myself.........patience may really pay off but for now, I do have things to do here!!

There is nothing better than getting a good work out. I have to figure mine out today since we are having a Chinese New Year lunch. I have five Chinese women on my staff and they are putting it on. Once I understand what they do, I will take a bigger part...assuming I'm still here next year.

Speaking of that...have you heard from your other company?

I've been coaching my husband on how to do a resume and set up a LinkedIn page...this is so not his area. Engineers are not typically very people oriented.

I had a wonderful weekend of house renovating...that sure is a good work out! I'm sore in certain muscles and I was trying to figure out what it's from. I think some is from lifting a bunch of heavy items into the truck for a dump run...toilets, sinks and old tiled counter tops are all heavy. I burnished my Venitian plaster, including the ceiling, which is a super good work out. I also got to play with my new toy! I bought a pressure washer to help strip the back patio that was painted a hideous gray/beige, though that wasn't a work out, it was just good fun.

Have you noticed that the days are slowly getting longer?! I may get my beach walk in this evening and maybe I'll even go watch the sunset...what a good idea!

Good Morning!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I sure did. I didn't think about work at all, and I spent some great time with my family. Dance competition season started for us with the full dress rehearsal. It was great to see Sydney really shine on the stage. She's really looking strong and relaxed up there. It was fun.

Tonight will be a treadmill workout and I'm excited! I need to get the blood flowing in a positive way!!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!!!
