Heather, this is my optimism showing, but it sounds to me like maybe they really like you but hadn't really ironed out the logistics of bringing in a replacement before they started the interview process. So hopefully it's just waiting for them to iron out specifics - many good vibes your way!

Just wanted to share that I heard from the potential new job that he is traveling to Florida next week to meet with his current controller (the one I would replace who is leaving mid-April) and he said he will be discussing final arrangements with her then. He said he'd contact me Thursday or Friday. I suppose that sounds pretty good, but I refuse to get ahead of myself. Keep sending the good vibes!!!!

And, just because I can't vent anywhere else, I would like to say this new CFO is driving me nuts!!! He says he's not a micro manager, but I'm here to tell you, he is. I can't wait for this day to end. I can't remember the last time I counted down the minutes to the end of a work day. This is a horrible feeling and I can't get out of here fast enough.

If I don't get an offer by the end of the day, I am going to spend tomorrow applying for jobs. I can't stomach this one much longer.......

Jen, you hit the nail on the head. It's killing me that I still haven't heard. I'm starting to think that the answer is a no go, but they just haven't gotten around to telling me. I get that they are likely busy, but you know they must know by now if they want me or not and what they want to offer. As it gets later in the day, I become less hopeful for the answer I want.

He did say he wanted to wrap this up by the end of January and then I could start mid February when we spoke on the phone almost two weeks ago. Of course the end of January is technically next Tuesday, but that's being a bit picky I think. Now that I've met with the CEO and I've heard nothing for a few days, I'm thinking it's time to face that it very possibly is a no. This makes me extremely sad. But I haven't given up all hope yet. I do understand that I'm more anxious than they are and so.......I wait.

Thanks for listening friends! I can't exactly talk about it here!!! :)

Hi folks :)

Heather, I've been trying and mostly succeeding at taking a vitamin everyday which had definitely been helping. I hope the iron pills might do the same! Of course some good news would also help

I got a nasty reminder of the importance of stretching last night... I walked/jogged Wednesday on the treadmill and at bowling last night strained a muscle in my low back/left hip. It's super painful to sit which is making my desk job a bit miserable today.

On top of an already trying week of lots of random problems (QC issue, wrong zip code sent a package to FL, request to hold a job that already printed...) And I'm just ready to go home. I'll stop at the chiropractor first though to realign my hip.

Looking forward to the weekend!

Jon - We had "king" tides last week and it was amazing to see. Our Hwy 1 (which runs right on the edge of the ocean) sometimes gets washed out, but for the most part, my stretch is safe from that. Mud oozes over the road and there are small landslides but we don't usually have them closed. I drove down Hwy 1 yesterday at sunset and it was so very beautiful. I like to put on the music, open the moon roof, put on cruise control and go.

I'm driving down to the Santa Maria house this afternoon and I'm excited to work on the kitchen. Two bathrooms, the kitchen and the pool to go! That will be lots of good exercise! We may even pack a load and take it to the house...we'll see.

Good Morning!! Happy Friday!!! All I have to do is slog through this day and then I have the weekend! I've got a little stuffiness in my head and so it's making it harder to focus. It seems the whole office is sick! We are really slammed in like sardines. Well, the staff is slammed in. I have a nice big office which I appreciate very much. However, the germs still make their way in here!!

I worked out last night and that helped again with the energy level!! I suppose if I consistently took my iron pills I would likely feel a lot better. I should focus on that.

This weekend we have the first performance of the competition season. It's what they call the "informal performance" and it's where every one of the 70 or so competition dance routines perform one after the other as a full dress rehearsal. It gives the dance teachers a chance to see each dance on stage and then tweak them before the first competition which this year is the beginning of March. It's going to be a long day, but it's fun to see my baby dance, and so I'm excited!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!!!
