I heard parts of it Carol, and I thought she was brilliant!

Jen, we used to do quarterly reviews at an old job, and I agree they are too short term to really be useful in most cases.

I too seem to have a response that disappeared!

GREAT weekend learning how to do stucco work and fine tuning my ability to do plastering. Actually, the plastering is a real "win" for me! Hubby said it looked professional! My shoulders and traps are sore - woo hoo! A great work out weekend!

...I did have to "swim" home. Man, California is getting some serious rain!

Did anyone else see Meryl Streep's speech on the net? I thought she was so eloquent.

“Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving safely in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ... WOW! What a ride!”

Just spent 15 minutes crafting a response and the site disappeared. Good on all of your endeavors but that's it for me today.

Hi folks :)

Kourtney, good to see you around!

Another work day in the books. They do quarterly reviews where I am now, with 6 responses required for improvements/goals over the next three months. It's quickly beginning to feel like these reviews are *too* frequent and the kinds of goals I prefer are not ones that can necessarily be done in 3 months so it just feels like being set up to fail. pfft not fun

I'm tempted to head to the y for a walk on the treadmill, but I might still be a bit too congested. The other option is the painting studio which has it's own trials...

I'll make a decision at some point hopefully

Hi Kourtney!! It's great to see you here!!

Good Morning everyone!! I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Mine was pretty good, except for having to spend hours at the dance school getting the costumes. It's quite an ordeal with every single group dance (there are 30 different groups, Sydney is in 6 of them this year) coming out in their costumes and posing in front of the parents and troupe leader, then the costumes are discussed in incredible detail. It's not like we don't get a document that tells us exactly what we have to do for each costume (hair piece here, hair style like this, color of tights and shoes, etc.). But since so many people are incapable of reading and following the documents, we have to do this annoying thing each year. I'm so tired of dance....... :)

The upside was I sat with my good friend and we had fun talking. There's been a lot of tension since the drama last summer, and there are a few people who were my friends who now won't speak to me, and I just think that's so stupid. It feels like middle school. But I have a lot of other folks who will talk to me and who are nice to me, so there's that to balance it out and make it better!!

Other than that, and the cold, it was a good weekend and it appears to be a decent week coming up. I have a lot to keep me busy!!!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!!

Hi all - I'm trying to be "back" yet again. Thank you for your patience.

I got up to swim this morning only to find out that the pool had low chlorine levels and we weren't allowed to get in. _sigh_. I'm still counting it as 1 of the 10 swims I want to get in this month.

Trying to get back into eating better today. I've been eating well on and off (mostly off) since new years. I was in a good swing before new years (even Christmas!) but I've been being lazy and emotionally eating lately. So here's to getting back on the wagon. I'm going to go to a local salad place for lunch ( www.sweetgreen.com/ ) - so freaking good!

My mood overall has been better though. I think the new night med that's supposed to help with the med transition is doing its fair share of helping with anxiety.

How was your weekend? Mike and I watched EVERY Underworld movie (there are 5 if you include the one in theatres) in a 24 hr period this weekend. lol They were good.

I have something to finish at work this morning that I am avoiding. Better get to it.

Kourtney

PREGNANT due 3/2. Weight loss is definitely not a focus right now.
