I understand the gun was in his checked luggage. He got it out in the bathroom and came out shooting. This world has just gone crazy!!!

I am new here, so tell me a little about you, please don't make me go look everyone up. hahah
I am 58, soon to be 59 in April..... you are thinking, why rush it. Well retirement is at the age of 60!!!! So 17 months to go!!! I can retire May 1st 2018. :D I don't know if I will truly do it, but I CAN!!! That is the best feeling.

My job is WSIT 2 (Water Safety Instructor Trainer 2) I teach people to swim, and get paid VERY well to do it. That is the one I will retire from. My other job is being a Beachbody Coach. That one I will never retire from. I love helping people to lose weight and get fit. A reason I am on here, to help others do what worked for ME.
I have two grown children and one son in law. No grandchildren. Happily divorced! :D Living a dream life in the beautiful state of Alaska. I love to hike, bike, x country skiing, learning down hill (if we get snow), I now do triathlons and pretty much anything outside.

Hey, it's our second job to make our ladies nuts. Good luck with the interview follow-up Heather! GL with the costume prep, it sounds incredibly busy.

My ears perked up a few days ago when N Cali was going to be hit with three successive storms with up in the mountains being 10 ft + in snowfall You still need more to begin to catch up in the water table!

Snow today, snow tomorrow (sigh) Off topic: How does a guy under psychological care in Alaska end up in the Ft. Lauderdale airport with a 9mm and three clips? Hell, they make everyone else throw out their bottles of water and he gets in with a pistol?!?! How does one under psychological care have one? WTF is wrong with this picture.

Thanks Carol!! The hubby and I have been at odds with each other most days of our nearly 25 year marriage. Often I wonder why we continue......yet we love each other very much. So, some days are better than others.

Controlled disaster.....I'm gonna keep that one! Dysfunctional organizations appear to be the norm, and not unusual. I'm certain if anyone can get them to be more functional, you can!

I heard from the potential boss, Paul, and he wants to talk Wednesday (he's out on Monday and Tuesday). I'm pretty excited, because if he wasn't interested I think he would have just told me that today. He's the one who contacted me, so I guess it makes sense he's interested.....lol. So, I'll talk to him then.

In the meantime things here are actually OK. Today. But just wait, someone will have a hissy fit again soon.......and I'll be reminded again why this isn't the best fit for me..... :)

Have a good weekend all.

My fingers are so crossed for you and the new job! Especially if you are having strife at home. That's just too much work!

Our implementation is a controlled disaster and we are exactly where I expected to be. I have nobody in control at the top, I have nobody in control of sales, so that whole side of the business is out of the loop. We are proud to say we run lean, but the truth is we're too lean and anemic. I like to run "agile", which I am with my department, the rest of the company has people in place that they should be replacing, but they can't or don't know how. So it's going great for a dysfunctional company! I'm having a lot of fun learning the software and slowly making it work for each department.

I can't believe I'm saying this on here, but our weather sucks! haha We are supposed to have rain for a week! Anybody who doesn't believe in climate change just needs to come to Cali for a month. We're getting rain...buckets of it.

It's Friday!!! Yippee!!!! I am so looking forward to this weekend after this long slog of getting the payroll system in!!! Well, based on the conversation I'm having by text with my husband, I'm not so much looking forward to being with him, but at least I won't be at work.......ugh.

We start our dance season this weekend with our costume distribution day. So, I'll spend most of the afternoon on Sunday getting the costumes for Sydney's 7 group dances for competition. It's a long day, but it's good preparation for the long weekends to come!!

Tomorrow I'm sure I'll work on cleaning the house. And fight with my annoying husband. :) Maybe work is looking better after all........

I hope to hear today about the interview, but realistically I likely won't hear until next week. I'm very hopeful that it's a positive conversation! But I also keep focused here because this is where the job is now!!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!!
