What am I proud of.... hmmm...

I really got my business up and running and made a decent living in 2016.
I went and got some help when I found myself not wanting to get out of bed in the mornings.

I am really having to think too hard about this. Maybe I need to work on that.

I am more than proud of my daughter and her new little family, and of my son for his work achievement. But those are their accomplishments, not mine.

Post it TAMIP62! You and a couple others kept it going over the last six months. C'mon everyone, we're here to swim! Yes, I'm on the beach but working on an alternative. Hopefully interesting stuff to follow.

Ack, I must have missed seeing that post. I'm so happy! :) I swim a mile in an hour and a half (3 to 4 times a week). I'm really slow, but I get it in. LOL

Edited: I still don't see it. I must be looking in the wrong place. I see the 2016 100 mile challenge, 2015, etc, I know it's probably me though. LOL

Goriana that's AWESOME! Congratulations for getting in that many swims. I can't count laps either, I do it by time. For years I swam next to this guy who would come twice a week and swim a mile. I was faster than him, so I know that I swim more than a mile in an hour - haha...but that's about it.

Jon - That's amazing that you found your biological family! I want to hear more! I'm not that worried about you because you are taking great care of yourself!

Kourtney - Thanks for starting this morning. I woke up at 4:30 and had the intention of starting the thread, but then my laptop was out of juice...and Tom was warm and so was my coffee...

Tami - Jon was as good as his word, the 2017 challenge is up and running!

We finished sanding and sealing the last bedroom, then textured. Now once it dries I'll sand and paint! Woo hoo, this is the last bedroom! We also started patching the stucco where we switched a door for a window. I'm learning how to stucco! How cool is that? Good work out too! AND a three day weekend to work on the house! I may actually be sore tomorrow, but it will be a good sore.

Hmmm...most proud of for 2016? I suppose it was jumping off the cliff of taking a new job in a new town. It's pushed both my husband and I to do a ton of new stuff and that is always a good thing. Or maybe it was gutting this house and that it is turning out beautifully. Hmmm...well then there's that my son got married to one of my dear friends (who I met here on Spark Swimming!). Gosh, I have so much to be happy and grateful about!

My daughter, the yogi says that she has set an intention to be grateful and show gratitude. I love that! I think it's a good choice.

Tomorrow we can talk intentions for the new year. I like the idea of looking back today on how the past year has gone. Good bye 2016!

Hi team! Happy New Year!

I am so happy I EXCEEDED my swim goal for the year! I count days I swim because I do not have patience to count yards. I swam 79 times last year. My goal was 75. I will up my goal a bit to 80 for 2017.

Being on a team really helped. I love my team!

Tried going sweets free and only got to four days. Not ready yet.
Trying again.

I sure hope so, my swimming was interrupted in the heart of summer this year. I'll lay it out now.

Happy "almost" New Years my fellow swimmers.

Are you going to be doing the 100 mile challenge again this year? I enjoyed being a part of that for the half year I was on here.

Happy New Years Eve to you as well Kourtney! Thanks for reminding me, I need to total up my 2016 Challenge. Won't be much more, just a few swims after the Doc finally let me back in salt water after surgery. What am I most proud of for 2016? After my Mom passed this spring information came to light (I'm adopted) that led me back to my biological family. All my siblings died early (gulp! not good!) except one brother in long term care but my new nieces and nephews are a hoot!

Happy New Years Eve!

Ending a year can feel overwhelming, especially if you didn't accomplish some of the goals you set for this year.

But screw that, let's celebrate something. Name 1 thing you are proud of this year.

I am proud that I got back into swimming. Even though I didn't start swimming until July, I swam 56.7mi this year.
