I wouldn't say that I'm happy to not be alone in my displeasure with the scale, but it is nice to know that I'm not alone nonetheless.

ewww spam hahaha

I'm up on the scale too... I haven't updated that little tracker thingy in forever so it's misleading. But I've been working on managing the stress levels too and combating the cubicle bulge.

Scrapple... reminds me of Spam. No thanks. Hahaha

Kourtney, my weight is way up. I don't want to think about it either. I have committed to a year pass back at the pool though, and between that and the archery, I should at least begin to feel a little stronger. I haven't swam in three months and I feel fat and mushy.

I want to do a bunch of work to my house this year. It needs minor repairs and updating. The big thing is I'm replacing the flooring on the whole first level and installing laminate. It was supposed to start before Christmas, but there was a mixup on the materials and it somehow didn't get ordered.. So we'll start after New Year's. I also want to remove wallpaper and paint. Some I'll do myself, some I'll hire someone else to do. I know my limitations! In the fall, I'll probably look at replacing my roof.

I got an email from my student loan company saying my next payment would be over $1500. I about had a heart attack! But I called, and they said they were still processing my request for income driven repayment, so I could ignore the email.

Heather - "Hopefully it's quiet enough that I don't get bothered a lot and can crank through some much needed work." - yep. That's what I need too. WAY TO GO on the 20lb loss Heather! That's incredible!

Carol - you are missing out on scrapple. Have fun with the house rennovations!

Jen - Maybe my Midwest is showing in thinking scrapple is wonderful (even though I've never had it, just assuming). What *I* want is to find a steak n' shake. Why are those not EVERYWHERE?!

Hi all.

My 4 day weekend was lovely. I got to spend a lot of quality time with Mike, joking around and not worrying about work or responsibilities and just laughing a lot. The weekend was a mixture of reading, watching tv, and sleeping (with a bit of family time in there). You can always tell a vacation should end when you start getting bored on the last day though.

So, back to work! Both Mike and I are back at work today (me for the rest of the week, he has off on Friday). Unfortunately the office isn't quite as quiet as I'd like but I do get to spend _most_ of my time not being bothered, so that's nice.

Work has been really, really rough for a while now. I'm hoping this week of self-determined work (rather than catering to others) will help me have a more positive attitude. I need a few good days, ya know?

I'm trying not to think about my weight fluctuations over the last year. I've been eating well for about a week now but I still have a long way to go. Logically, I understand that it's more important that my mental health is in better order, that I can't be hard on myself for having mental health issues, and that this most-recent med change will help me get back to losing weight (since I gained ~15 lbs in the first week I was on the current med...). But it's frustrating to know that I'm not only in the same place I was last January, but significantly worse. It just feels... sh1tty.

And on that lovely note, back to work.

Hi folks :)

Lol Carol, nope, it's a bit of a game here to poke fun at folks who aren't from the area and find the idea of scrapple gross. It is kinda gross, but so are hotdogs, and I find scrapple way less gross than cheap hotdogs.

Back to work... It's always hard going back to the cube after extra days off. I wish I could self support with painting, but a reliable salary is nice.

Getting a little sunshine in my lunch break sitting in the car, it's actually a little warm today. I'll hit the y for a treadmill run after work.

Haha - Scrapple wouldn't be a California thing, but it would fall along the lines of the Mexican Menudo...which I can't get into either.

Wow Heather, I can't imagine not having to work this week! That's never happened to me because in agriculture, usually a company or two are cash and therefore you're doing last minute planning on where to park the cash for the best tax advantage. Next year I might get away with taking time off (if I'm still here), but this year we are getting ready to take the rest of the company on to the new system so it's a super busy week for me.

Next weekend is another three day weekend, but this one we'll be working on the house. I'm excited to work on plumbing since I haven't done much of that myself. We're using this new system called PEX and it will be interesting to see how it goes.

Good Morning!! I haven't worked in the office the week between Christmas and New Year's in about 5 years. It's very quiet driving in, so that's nice!! Hopefully it's quiet enough that I don't get bothered a lot and can crank through some much needed work.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! We sure did! It was very nice to spend three days with hubby and daughter at home with no one visiting and no driving around for us. Much needed down time!!

I've maintained pretty decent eating through the holiday. I had a few pieces of candy, but no cookies or dessert except one piece of apple pie on Christmas night. I'm keeping myself steady so that starting next week I can dive back in and make the effort to lose the rest of this weight. I'm pretty proud that I've maintained the 20 pound loss that started in Jan and slowed down just as summer started. It's been a transition getting used to this new job, so not gaining is a win for me! Plus the regular exercise just makes me feel good!!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!!!
