Kourtney, I can so relate. Pace yourself and remember, it's just a job. It's very hard to find, but that balance has to be there or you just run yourself into the ground. I know the feeling very well.

I'm so tired, you guys. Sigh. Worked late last night, in early this morning. I went home early to do the rest of my work from home, but there were still fires to put out so I didn't get much of the work I *really* need to do done. Also, one of my good friends is really, really struggling with her depression and tbh it's exhausting to see her floundering afar, with her reaching out for help but being unable to really turn it around for her.

Sigh.

What I really want is a freaking nap but if I go to bed I won't wake up til morning... Instead I took a break to vent to Mike while prepping dinner and it helped me feel better. Now dinner is cooking and I'm gonna keep futzing around and eat dinner THEN get back at that main work I still need to do. With a deadline of STOPPING REGARDLESS OF WHERE I'M AT at 10p.

Off to futz around while dinner cooks :D. xoxo

Hi folks :)

Exercise does help with the mental outlook! I've been sleeping a bit better this week, took a good 20 minute brisk paced walk at lunch. It's chilly and sunny, I prefer warm but it was still nice. Planning to hit the pool tonight, the only week night my local y has lap lanes at all now is Wednesday. The rest are booked up with swim team. I'm a bit annoyed at that but trying to make it work with my scheduling.

Good Morning!

In answer to Jon's question about the horseback ride, it went great! I'm in so much better shape and I had not one bit of fear or anxiety. I know being strong helped that so much!! I was so sore Monday and Tuesday that I groaned every time I got up! Anyone who says equestrian isn't a sport because the horse does all the work has clearly never ridden other than maybe a walking trail ride. The soreness is pretty much gone today and as long as I keep up the regular riding it will be better going forward. I always have a readjustment period to riding after being away from it for a long period (even just a few weeks)!

I'm digging in to a new day here at this job. I so hope these new systems that we are working on make the job better because right now I feel like an idiot who can't do anything right. I really dislike feeling this way, but I was so used to the way we did things at the old job that I'm struggling to make this new one work. I think maybe turning 50 this week isn't helping my mood. :)

Tonight it's back to the treadmill!! The exercise sure does help with the mental outlook.

I hope everyone else is doing great! It's a beautiful day here in NJ. I hope it's lovely where you are.

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!
