Haha yes, it feels like you can fly! I wear ten pounds every so often if I'm favoring my right leg or my hip starts to hurt. Ten pounds forces you to walk correctly. My ortho taught me to do that when I was 18 because my left calf muscle was visibly smaller than my right, meaning I was favoring the right too much. I even drove a stick with those ten pounds - lol.

10 lb ankle? That's a lot!. When doing warm-ups I wore 5 lb as after taking them off for scrimmages or games I found I could absolutely (in my mind) fly. Even as those pesky 20 somethings blew by me. At least they blew by me slower.

Haha - That is a fun story. I have ten pound ankle weights and five pound wrist weights and if I want to carry more, I carry water. It's a great way to make walking a bigger work out and it gets me in backpacking shape - it's a twofer!

Fun story, Carol. I used to get my hair cut at the local barber in the village I worked in. A retired Marine deep into his 50s (yes, I got buzz cuts), he had a lot of military memorabilia in the front window. I'd often see him jogging around town with his backpack and asked one day what was in the pack, figuring water. His response? One word. "Bricks"

Catch-up is tough Jen. I've been going through it as well. A co-worker back to help lift the load is the right way to go. Do little things like a coffee or her favorite snack.

Another grey day in a run of (projected) four of them. Halfway through and so long at it clears up for the weekend I'm good with it. Catching more kudos at work for the recovery, good for the ego but gotta get on that field, the last short-time goal.

Hi folks, saw this article on stress and it's affects on inflammation wanted to share

Doing my best to breathe and feel capable at work, it's a hectic week. Thankfully my co worker is back and now I'm in full on catch-up mode

We have fog this morning. I was enjoying the hot, clear weather so much...but it never lasts.

We are all killing ourselves at work, getting ready for the implementation on Monday. I'm trying to figure out if I have to work over the weekend or if I can go home. I may go home on Saturday if I have to work some, we shall see. I did my yoga this morning and I'll walk at lunch. I need to start loading a backpack with weights when I walk.

How are you guys doing today?
