Yes, I'm salaried so could come in and then go back and still get paid for the day, but I'm so new, and I just got back from a week off, that I think suffering in the office a bit is a good thing. Makes me look tough, too! LOL

Jen - agreed - it's b/c I'm getting my TOM in a few days and I'm f*cking sick of it. It was even worse today. :( :( :( :( :(

Hi folks :)

The storm spared us inland and I had a lovely weekend, walk in the park, kayaking and a trip to the ren fair! All with good company and nice sunshine. Back to work today, there was lots to do and I'm sleepy from it, still might venture to the pool though.

Kourtney, a shift that big in the scale over a 24 hr period sounds like water to me, don't focus on it to hard and just keep doing what you know to do - move and eat well :)

Sorry your weekend was a wash between taking care of the family and yourself, Heather, You didn't miss much weatherwise. I'd like to say Carol is correct and under most related circumstances she is but I agree with you here. It's too soon.

Heather, if you're salaried, can't you leave early? Go in, then after an hour - leave. ...or is that a California thing?

We went into the Tongass wilderness today and now there's a backpacking trail called Chilkoot Pass that I NEED to come back for - haha!

Morning all!

My legs have finally mostly healed from my run Saturday so yay! I'm excited to get back in the pool tomorrow - it feels like it's been forever. Last night we had ravioli with our homemade pasta sauce, using tomatoes from our garden. OMG it was so good. I went over in calories though.

The scale was WAY up today, I think b/c it's almost my TOM but I was still pretty annoyed. I mean I know I went over yesterday, but not so over that my weight would go up several freaking pounds. _sigh_

I'm frustrated with some people at work. I literally gave them a step-by-step list of what to do to get my testing environment ready for me so that I could test today (we have something that will take a day or two to run so I wanted it to run over the weekend). Was it done? Nope. No it was not. So now I've lost a day or two of testing, and the head of engineering is talking about how it's OK for us to push our release window out. Ummm this is already being released 2 weeks later than previously planned so no, not a freaking option. *headdesk*

Is it 5 yet?

Good Morning!! I'm here at work, but man, I have been hit hard by the same virus my kid then my husband got. I feel awful.

Hopefully I can get through stuff and then leave early. I don't have PTO yet and they are really stingy with leave time here anyway, so.......I'm here.

Not much exciting for me to report. I slept a lot of the day Sunday and yesterday. :(

I hope everyone else had a nice holiday weekend!!!
