We saw Stranger Things. It was... different. We enjoyed it, but I thought Winona Ryder was way overacted.

Well I accidentally turned off instead of snoozing my alarm, so I missed my step class. BUT I still went to the gym and did some cardio. emoticon Unfortunately, I have some... um... GI distress going on this morning, which meant I spent some time in the bathroom at the gym instead of on the elliptical machine and didn't get quite as long of a workout end as I wanted.

). I liked it a LOT and found it to be a LOT harder to keep the stride long. Rather than a slight push down continuing the step (with the pedal being fixed on rollers / a track), I had to use my quads/hip flexors to guide it back and it was lovely. I might do a nice, long set on that that instead of cycling on Saturday... we shall see.

My weight is continuing to go down a touch. I need to reign in some night snacking but I'm close to my goals so that's cool. I'm hoping to get very near to 197 on Labor Day. Fingers crossed!

Oh and we started Stranger Things. OMG you guys - if you aren't watching this show yet (it's on Netflix), get on it. It's lovely. We only have 3 episodes left in the season and we started on Monday.

Good Morning and welcome to a new month!! I hope everyone is doing well today and looking forward to a great day!!

I finally have a day here at work where I don't feel pulled in 1,000 directions. Of course, it's not quite 9 yet, so things can change, but for now, it looks like a promising day. I need time for organization and planning and to think. I've been doing meeting after meeting here since I started. I'm still not fully sure this is the right place for me, but I'm doing my very best and giving it my best effort. I do know after my job search efforts back in June that if I really try and have reasonable salary expectations that I can find a new job fairly quickly if needed. I'm not saying I'm going to do that, but knowing I had that success makes me feel a lot more in control of my life than I felt at the last job.

I have taken off all the weight I put on since I started the job and then went on vacation, so I feel very good about that. Now, I have that goal of 15 more pounds gone by December 25. I know the other day I mentioned that and others thought a weight loss challenge for the next few months might be useful, so I'm going to put together a thread where we can track that challenge and encourage each other there. Maybe we'll attract a few new folks who don't like the daily chat, but who might be up for a weight loss challenge. I'll post that later today!!
