I SWAM!! Yay me! The usual bike and treadmill this AM but ti was too gorgeous a bay not to walk to the community beach (not a biggie, it's 100 ft), navigated the sand OK and managed to get in the water unassisted over a mostly sandy bottom. Crawl: No prob upper, scissor kick acceptable. Breast stroke, frog kick weak, went dolphin kick - better. R side stroke: not a good kick bringing left leg forward. L side stroke bringing left leg back almost normal. Backstroke - unable to frog kick. leg flopped around useless so immediately discontinued. Pleased nonetheless.

Edit: Only 30 minutes and well off the usual pace, probably .6 miles or so. Slow but a lot of crawl rather than slower strokes. It felt really good to stretch out and use the uppers as I've avoided heavier weight lifting to keep the extra weight stress off the hip.

Happy Saturday! Boy am I ready for a weekend! I will be painting and tiling today. If I can get the first room done then we can go look at carpet remnants since the room isn't too big.
