Lynn - thanks! I'm glad your PF is doing so much better!!! I haven't asked my dad about his in awhile (and he's likely avoid talking about it) but hopefully it's going well.

KOURT....CONGRATS on another pound! Look how far you've come. You are so close to your goal! WTG!

Finished my therapy for my feet (the plantar fasciitis). I'm about 97% healed! KOURT...how is your dad doing with this same condition? It'll be nice getting my schedule back and not running up there. Had that ASTYM therapy and I must say, I believe it really helped! Yeah!

Back to swimming tomorrow and hopefully, a run after work.

We had SNOW today, but it didn't stick. I think it was mostly Lake Effect (from Lake Michigan which is warm water over cold air producing snow here and there). So not ready for this to happen! Like it for the holidays, and then I'm done!

Woah, I took so long to post I missed a bunch of people!

Mary - LOL on the online meetings :D. It's been getting pretty chilly here in the mornings (low 50's) as well, and I've been working hard at pushing through and ignoring the cold. It's always funny to see the pool steaming.

Heather - yup, outdoor pools. Love the lack of chemicals, hate hate hate the cold. You really don't notice it after you're in, though. We have good hot showers but they get pretty crowded in the morning, so I change back into my pj's and shower at home. Like Mary said, it's getting out there (especially after you wet your hair in the showers UGHHH) and getting from the pool to the locker room (especially if you're stretching UGHHH) that's the worst.

Carol - I've been wondering how your foot took to that hike. Go get that xray. xoxo

Heather - Yay for swimming after work! I like to be busy too, but there's definitely a balmer peak, ya know? I hope you get out on time.

Diane - enjoy that empty pool!!!

I didn't swim this morning. Last night I thought about it and decided to go to bed early and see how I felt when it was time to get up. I felt alright but soooo tired. Then I remembered the advice I gave to Kelly about getting rest when sick and decided I needed to listen to my d@mn self and get some rest. I'm still at work today (which is awesome, b/c Mike's giving his presentation RIGHT NOW and I'd rather be there or at least at home being sick on my couch with my cats...) but I think I'll head out at 3 or so today after all the stuff for tomorrow is handled. I'm definitely not going to class tonight and plan to be pretty much inseparable from my couch and/or bed all evening.

Aw my friend who knows I really want to be there just sent me a picture of Mike at the front of the lecture hall in his suit. Before the lecture starts, Mark (a guy from Mike's lab) will do a humorous intro about Mike (it's tradition). Mark emailed me, Mike's mom, Mike's sister, and Mike's best friend from high school for story ideas and the best friend from HS requested it be video taped LOL. I'm looking forward to hearing it later.

I'm down another pound! It's likely b/c I'm sick but whatever, I'll take it. That puts me just 1 lb away from a healthy weight!!! When I get there, I'm going to do something big for myself that I wouldn't usually do, but I'm not sure what yet. I'm usually very tight with my money, but I may splurge and do a shopping spree or buy a bike or something along those lines. I may ask Mike to help me with the cost of whatever it is as my christmas present as well. It'll mean taking an extra month to max out my Roth IRA (still w/i limits for yearly contributions) and/or get my emergency fund where I want it to be, but it seems like a worthwhile treat to me. Plus, other than paying off my CC and paying for bills and such, most of this paycheck went into savings/Roth anyway.

Alright, back to work. XOXO

Boy, you guys are tough. If it's below say 75 degrees I would never think of getting in a pool, heated or not!!! emoticon

Yes, outside. I'm in the central valley of CA, so the coldest morning we had last year was 35 degrees. It's the getting in and out of the pool that's cold, especially the deck. I've gotten pretty fast at putting on my coat and stocking cap and cranking up the heater in the car for the 10 min. drive home. If I lived any farther away, I'd shower at the pool. They have really good hot showers.

Haha...we have mostly outside pools here, but of course, we never get that cold. It can be hard walking in a bathing suit at 5am on a cold morning across the deck.

No exercise for me until I heal completely (sigh). I may go in and have an x-ray taken. ...for some reason my foot didn't appreciate the 6 mile hike...gee

Is your pool outside? I can't imagine it, but I know people swim outside when it's cold as long as the water is heated. Brrrrr.

I love on-line meetings! I can listen, participate and when its a boring topic I can access SP!

Back in the pool this week after no swimming, only bike and elliptical, while cruising for 18 days. It feels great even though the mornings are getting cold (40 degrees) its always 80 degrees in the water.

Good Morning!

About to head to the pool, there is a noon class I have never tried combines yoga and pilates in the water. And I love that after the classes, I usually get the whole pool to myself. Time for some serious work in the water!

Love it.

Good Morning!!! It's Thursday!! Yay!!

Busy, busy, busy time at work. It ebbs and flows a bit, and today it is flowing!! That's fine, because I like to be busy. I just hope to get out of here at a normal time today. Can't just up and leave without getting a certain amount of stuff done today.

However, the plan is to swim after work. That's a GREAT thing to look forward to!

Have a FUN and ACTIVe day!!!
