I think I would go to somewhere warm and tropical...with palm trees. I loved the Bahamas. I would have to do some research before I really decided!

I would move to Ireland. I've got citizenship and half my family is there so I'm at home in either place. Unfortunately, their unemployment rate is pretty high right now so the timing isn't right. This is a move I've actually been considering since shortly before the economy fell apart :-p

I think I would stay in San Diego- but I might find a smaller community to live in, LOL. I would like live somewhere that things are walking distance (especially the ocean), and your neighbors are friendly and everyone isn't always rushing to get somewhere- usually to wait.

I love where I'm living now, a couple of hours away from the mountains and the ocean, in VA. I love the West Coast, though, and travel there a couple of times a year, starting in Seattle area, and driving down the coastline till I'm ready to go home.

I love the high incline treadmills. I challenge myself more on them than a standard incline treadmill.

I also don't have cable, so I've kept myself motivating by scheduling workout times based on when my favorite shows come on. I'll stay on for that extra time to make sure I don't miss the end of the Biggest Loser!

Actually, I love living where I am now, but I would like to get in a lot more traveling and hope to be much more able to get around by this time next year. I am hoping to go to visit the Grand Canyon next September as well as Las Vegas. Other places I wouldn't mind living in for a while would be Ireland, Britain, Spain, or Tuscany perhaps, or perhaps Greece, though not in Athens, proper.....more out in the country side.

I hope to find myself living in many different places over the years. I've already lived in KY, VA, London, and Hungary-all of which I'd love to go back and live agian. But, I'd also really love to live in Portland, OR; Barcelona, Spain; and some Scandinavian country.

We put our Christmas decorations up but I don't know if I'd call that a tradition. Chrstmas day varies a lot, depending on who has it, where/if we travel that sort of thing.

There's a New Year's eve race, a 5k I do every year if that counts.

We put our tree up on Thanksgiving weekend.

I also put the Advent candles out.

This year we went to my daughter's for Thanksgiving, that was a nice change-of-pace tradition. I think I will keep that.

This year we are also adding a new tradition. I asked each child to bring one of their specialty dishes: main meal and a dessert. I will make the traditional candies, and make each a covered dish to take home, as well as eat with the meal. Lot's less cooking for me, cause there is 14 of them coming ! YAY!!

When my sweet tooth kicks in, I'll also do french toast, using that thick sliced bread, and adding lots of cinnamon and nutmeg in the batter. Instead of using syrup, I've gone to using peanut butter, or a fruit spread.

My favorite breakfast is: 4 slices of crisp bacon, 2 eggs over easy, English muffin, and hashbrowns with country gravy. I eat this every other week on payday.

The rest of the time:
2 eggs scrambled, diced onions, and 1 slice
fat free Swiss cheese, 4 oz orange juice

Occasionally, I have hot green tea and a Fiber One bar, but it is too many carbs for me first thing in the morning. It is my "lazy day" meal.

My usual breakfast is sausage (1 oz.), one egg, and a bagel. I prefer to have a hearty breakfast, as I burn a lot of energy during the day. What I LOVE, however, is a spinach, mushroom and cheese omelette with home fries (with plenty of green onions), rye toast, and coffee, hot. Of course, I haven't HAD this in quite a while, but that'd be my favorite.

Favorite Breakfast - Anything but cold cereal and milk! I prefer warm foods for breakfast and often heat up leftovers (including the veggies) from yesterday's big meal to eat. Or I'll cook an egg, 1/2 cup of baked beans and a slice of whole wheat toast. When I start my day feeling like I've eaten real food, it seems to be easier to keep the rest of the day on track. When I just eat cold cereal with milk, I'm hungry all day long. emoticon

Yes, Emily, I use mathematics to make my mandalas. For instance, the next one I do will have 13 points, and I'll probably try and turn it into a 3 color problem, i.e., using just three colors, try not to have any of the same color touch except at the tangent points. It can be a challenge, but it's fun choosing the colors. Now, if only I had the means for a stained glass studio...

Q3: favorite hobby? A: I read until my eyes fall out! I'm learning about quantum physics, all the intricacies of the subject, by reading as many books geared towards the nonscientist that I can find. Other things I like to do: color [I've got a 3-drawer rubbermaid cabinet filled with paper, coloring pens (fine and medium point), crayons (both Crayola and Caran D'ache watercolor crayons), color pencils (several different packs, and C'aran D'ache watercolor pencils)] and my protractors, compasses and rulers. Did I mention coloring books? I also draw mandalas, but haven't done it in a while. Perhaps it's time to get back into it.

My number one "hobby" is Genealogy.
It is more an avocation that a hobby, but ...
I have been doing my family genealogy since 1989
and researching for others almost as long.

I still have my stamps, but seldom even think about them. I should at least get back to them occasionally.

And I read ... not near as much as I did "pre-computer".

My favorite is low fat cottage cheese and ff pringles chips for a "salty" snack.

It is probably not the healthiest thing I could eat, however, it is a guilt free "real food" snack for me!

Running. There's a lot about running that I like. Obviously there's tons about it that's good for me but I really like the competative aspects. Racing is such a pure expression of competition. First one across the line wins, period. Nothing ambiguous. Not in contention for the win? Race the clock. It never lies.

I love dancing too! My youngest son is helping me get my I-pod updated with more songs. Dancing doesn't feel like exercise but a great excuse to be a kid again.

I also love to 'Walk and Talk' with my hubby. We try to do this a couple evenings a week when my son is at his Taekwon-do class. The area it's in is perfect for walking - not too many cars and lots of nice hills. emoticon

My all time favorite exercise is dancing; it gets the heart pumping, the blood flowing, and you can't help but feel great afterwards. My next best fave is walking, outside, uphill...it's so much fun coming back down! I love being able to go on automatic, to walk doing interval training, to see what's around me without having a car get in the way.

Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You will succeed if you persevere: and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles. Remember, no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost.

JUST FOR TODAY, I will live through this day only. I will not brood about yesterday or obsess about tomorrow

I have 2 favorites. The first is walking, second is running. I mainly walk outside but do my running inside on the treadmill.
close runners-up are yoga and strength training, which I do incorporate throughout the week, but walking for exercise is something i do every day.

If it's amazing, it won't be easy. If it's easy it won't be amazing. If it's worth it you won't give up. If you give up you're not worth it.

My main favorite exercise is walking on the treadmill. No bad weather, rough road conditions, and a slight cushion for knee protection.

My second favorite is my morning yoga DVD by Rodney Yee. It is a short (under 20 minutes) DVD of stretches for warming up for the day. I don't get it done very often but I do love it.
