Forty pounds,....you will probably be down at least 2 sizes.

I am having the glasses prescription checked on Monday as the new glasses are giving me headaches and are bothering the area behind the ears where the mastoid bone is located.

Plus I will be having a cortisone injection in my heel on monday and will then be put in a plaster cast for 3 weeks. Bummed. Now how will I turn this around into a success when I will not be able to exercise and certainly not water aerobics. I will only be able to use my new exercise bike for 2 days before I am put in the cast.
Just as I finally can wear some skinny jeans (well skinny for me) I will have to wear old pants too big but with wide legs to go over the cast.

This is going to take some work to make into a success plus I am worried about weight loss with no or limited exercise.

Yippee for new clothes and glasses, Cindy! That's great! I got on the scale today and was 40 lbs down since my surgery four weeks ago! Can't hardly believe it (though my hips definitely feel it). This weekend I'm going to have my hubby pull down the boxes of clothes I've saved in the attic and see if I can get into the next size down. I've been carrying those things around for 10 years and will now, finally, be back into them!

I am so excited!!!! Today's success is getting new glasses with frames that look good with my new face! Current glasses now look a bit big as my face has shrunk!
The new glasses are in and I pick them up this afternoon.

Today I tried on a sweater that a friend who had RNY gave me. It is an large but looking at it on the hanger in the closet I said to myself that is a thin persons sweater it will never fit me. But I did take it off the hanger and slipped it on. It Fits and looks good! It is not a tent...It is like doll clothes to me after living a plus size life for so many years!

I felt good all day today wearing that cardegan sweater.

What was your feel good moment today?

Lvanpelt1; I know you have an celebration coming up in a few days. What do you plan to eat in the new food stage in 8 days! Celebrate it. Do not forget to take photos along the way. When you feel down you really need to see those photos to remind yourself of your successes. The first month I tried to get a photo every week. Now I try to find someone to take my photo every month. This week I was uploading a new photo and looked at my pre-surgery photo next to my current photo. Wow it is amazing the difference in how I look. My next big celebration will be when I loose 5 more pounds at which time I will be Overweight according to bmi calculator. Alas I am still considered obese but not for long. Just a few more months.

I am logging my food this week on fitday.com to evaluate my diet, nutrients, and calories. I was surprised that Sunday I achieved the protein goal without a protein drink. 90 grams of protein! I will adjust my diet next week based on what I see from this week.

That is one of the most wonderful feelings! When I stopped having to worry about those things, it was amazing! Every once in a while, it still hits me; WOW! I still have more weight to lose and now deal with loose skin issues, but it is SO worth it!

I still worry about my weight when I stand on something. Then I have a "oh ya!" I'm not as heavy as before. I have a hard time in dressing rooms. I was always afraid to sit on the rickety little bench in there. I was always afraid I would break it. Now I can sit on the bench without fear, but I still need to have my "oh ya!" moment.
Congratulations Cindy!

Congratulations Mom2C! It feels good doesn't it to let go of anxieties like "will this xxxx collapse because of my weight". I was looking at an exercise bike a couple of weeks ago and I too did not even think to see what the weight limit was because now I am the weight limits for such equipment. I agree it is a very nice feeling.

emoticon ! I'm not there yet (still trying to get into the 100s) but I did have an "aha" moment this past weekend. I was painting in my newly remodeled bathroom and got up on an aluminum step ladder. As I was standing on the top step, it dawned on me that I wasn't worried about the weight limit of the ladder! What a nice feeling!

I believe in taking a positive attitude toward the world. My hope still is to leave the world a little bit better than when I got here.

Today I acheived a personal milestone. I now weigh under 170 (not official until I maintain it for 5 days). This is the first time since 1995 that I have weighed under 170!

Has anyone else achieved a personal milestone this week?
