Tonight I will be back in the saddle again on my trusty exercise bike for 60 minutes with all my fans pointing at me to cool me off as summer is back in the pacific NW.

Tracy, Impressive as always. Your dedication is inspiring!

I hope everyone has a good time exercising today! I plan to order the fitness starter kit along with the fit and tone dvd this weekend.

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer weather and the freedom to exercise outdoors (when not too hot!).

Charlene, How is the exercise going?

I rode the bike last night for 60 minutes and really regretted not taking off the shapewear first. Tonight is support group so it is a day off from exercise. Sleep Apnea doctor says I will be on CPAP for life even if I get down to normal weight as my throat is just flat out too small. He thinks I should go back and get more dilation done on my throat. But he did reduce the pressure so I guess that is improvement.

Yes Cindy that is a new picture just take a couple of days ago.I enjoy taking new photos to see the difference from begining to now since surgery.I have a weight loss album on my Facebook to look back and see how ell I am doing.

With my balance problem (nerve in one ear sends messages slower to the brain than the other) if I close my eyes I will fall over! I had to go to PT to learn how not to loose my balance and fall over all the time.

I found a video for exercise bands - kicked my butt. It was great resistance exercise. I did about 20 minutes of the video. I did 10 minutes on the gazelle before to warm up and 10 after to cool down.
Between the resistance and the fall, my legs ache.

Just read yesterday and todays exercise reports. You did really well, especially since most of the US is experiencing such high temperatures!

I spent yesterday driving my mom to the cemetary and then once there walking all over looking for the graves of relatives and then scrubbing, pulling weeds, and generally cleaning up the grave markers. Lots of bending and pulling and elbow grease as my mother used to say. Not sure how to count that exercise.

I did make it to water aerobics yesterday.

Today will be exercise bike but probably not until late tonight as it is over 80 here.

Tracy I think you should get photos of your daily walks and post them occassionally! It is such an encouragement to see your dedication.

That jump start weight loss after weight loss surgery program I am starting on August 10 has an exercise physiologist component. I am interested to see what he will do with my current exercise program! I have met him and spoken with him and he is very nice. I have a very bad back and can only walk for a few minutes at a time so I am very envious of your long walks or should I say hikes!

Keep up the great work Deborah! How are you feeling? How is curves?

Vicky I am impressed and you just out of the hospital and still not feeling 100%! emoticon

I visited 2MuchRuthie this after noon, she had RNY this morning. She is doing great and I even made it home in time to go to Water aerobics. Now I am washing a load of clothes. I am in chapter 4 of the book Eat It Up!. Wow is this book bringing up issues I had buried deep inside years ago. I am tempted to call and make an appointment with the psychologist! But I think I want to go all the way through the book before I decide I need to talk to someone about my food issues and self esteem issues.

Everyone is doing great this week on exercise! Keep it up! Ruthie logged in exercise as she is already walking the halls of the hospital!

20 minutes is a good start CV. Build up slowly. I don't know if it is scorching hot for you or not, but be careful to keep hydrated.
Good for you Cindy. I didn't know there was such a thing. I think adding weights or resistance will cause you to loose more. Maybe not right away, cuz first the muscles have to grow. Then the muscle will burn more calories!! Woo Hoo! Higher metabolism.

I did about 30 minutes of strength training. I can't get through the whole program yet. I get pooped, but my legs aren't quite as stiff as they were.

Taking a key from you Deborah. Tonight in addition to my exercise bike I will do some 5 pound weight arm exercises and Thursday I will try to do some resistence band exercises on my legs. I need to stop intending and just start doing. In fact I think I will look for my ankle weights and try to wear them while on the exercise bike. Wish me luck!
This is especially important as I signed up today for the Pacific Nutriion and Wellness 3 month program to jump start the weighloss after Bariatric Surgery Stalls. The program includes medical, nutritionist,and exercise specialist. I will go in once a week for three weeks and then once a month for September, October and November. I want to get the weight loss going again so that I can loose the remaining 34 pounds and get to the goal I set. I know the exercise specialist will want to add resistance exercises and light weights to my exercise program. Now I need to pray that God will find the funds for this treatment. I feel this whole process has been on his timing and on his plan so I know this is what I need to do for me.

My GP would rather I weigh more and have less body fat. He is really pushing me to do resistance, I am starting to gear up for it. It has not been something I enjoy. Thanks for the encouragement.

Great job deborah! I learned at the Obesity Help Event that Resistence or weight Exercises are very important to weight loss. I need to do more of that myself.

I did muscle exercises today. I got some resistance tubes, and tried to do some of those. First I had too much tension, it was better once I used a "weaker" tube. I also gardened. Boy it was hot out, but berries needed picking and tomatoes needed watering.

Smile Flower, That is great! Congrats on choosing an exercise program. Put curves on your calendar to make sure you go! Take your measurements so that you can see both pounds and inches that will fall away from the regular exercise!

I will be going to water aerobics after work tonight. Looking forward to it after the long weekend with little exercise and no water aerobics on Saturday. I did walk a lot looking at displays! But not really exercise.

I did ride the exercise bike for 60 minutes yesterday.

I worked out 4 days last week at Curves, 2 of those days were the Zumba with the circuit. I'm going back today to actually sign up for Curves. Last week was the trial week.

I have set a goal to run the Race for the Cure 10/22/11. I have 14 weeks to train and I began this morning before work with a walk/jog program. I have walked it in the past but I want to run it this year.
Also did upper body weights this morning.
