I am in again! Fell off the wagon a bit in the end of August, so I need to get back on track.

My Goals for the next 3 months
Goal 1: lose 1 lbs per week
Goal 2: Finish c25k program and run a 5K (Oct. 16!)
Goal 3: Really finish reading The Spark this time, and make my motivation board!
Reward: mani/pedi

September 1 - starting weight 209; started week 3 of c25k on 9/5
September 15 - 208; finished week 4 of c25k on 9/18; need to get to work on the Spark!
October 1 - 202; finished week 6 of c25k on 10/3; still not reading the Spark - got a new Kindle and am addicted to the Dead Until Dark series. Will try to read a chapter at least 3x a week from now on.
October 15 - 199 I'm in ONEderland!; ran my 5K on 10/16 and ran the whole thing! BUT still working on finishing the last two weeks of c25k. 2 more 5Ks to run this month!; umm . . .yeah, reading The Spark has been replaced by reading Dead Until Dark. I'm on #7 and probably won't be able to stop until I've read them all. I might be able to do that by Thanksgiving!

I am up for the challenge!

Goal 1: Maintain weight of 155
Goal 2: Do a craft project at least once every month.
Goal 3: Continue my 3 days of jogging a week!
Reward: a new jacket.

September 1 - Starting weight 154
- Got supplies for first craft project!
- finished 3rd jog for the week,
starting first jog of THIS week today!

September 15 - When I stepped on the scale this morning it showed that I was 2 pounds heavier, it could be from my TOM but it also could be me cause I havent been eating as well as I should be these last couple of days, so I am going to weigh myself again on friday see what happens!
- I havent finished my craft project yet. I order the last part that I need for it so I should be done with it by the end of this week!
- Last week I was only able to do 2 days of jogging rather then the 3 that I am going for. But so far for this week I put in 2 days of jogging and on friday I will do my third day!

All in all I have been a little less motivated for whatever reason but I am trying to pull myself together and work on my goals. Hopefully by the end of september I will be maintaining my goal weight as well as completing my 3 days of jogging!

October 1
-Hello! Ok so right now I am in florida on vacation, so I havent weighed myself but I do know that I might be gaining a very few pounds while being out here. I am still trying to do my exercises but its just the eating I have to watch, So I am not going to weigh myself until the end of october because I want to be able to have a chance to work off these pounds when I get home.

-I didnt get to bring my new craft project with me but its at home waiting. I have started to learn how to knit! The other craft project I was doing for the month of September is done all I have to do is frame it and give it to my dad!

-And last but not least, I was only able to do 2 days of jogging (which for me is amazing cause normally when I used to go on vacation I wouldnt do any type of exercising at all!) Hopefully this week I can put in the 3 days!

October 15
-Ok so havent been doing to well this month what with going away on vaca and all. I havent weighed myself yet so I am not sure how much I weigh right now. I am going to try to remember to do it tomorrow morning. I like weighing myself in the morning

-My craft project is knitting emoticon I am definitely not going to finish what I am knitting by the end of the month but I am definitely going to keep working on it.

-The jogging I havent been able to do either.. The last few weeks I have only done jogging twice during the week and as for this week I am hoping to at least get ONE day of jogging in which would be tomorrow morning.. Its been kinda chilly and I have been trying to get back into my routine since I just got back from vaca this past saturday.

Well hope everyone else is doing well!

Thanksgiving Day! EAt wisely and well everyone!
MET MY MAIN GOAL

Goal 1: Weighed in at 137.8 Body Mass Index of 26.91
Base Metabolism Rate: 1062. So I know how many calories I SHOULD eat today.

Goal 2: Haven't been as consistent as I would like with the five miles per day, but have stayed active, and I do reach that often enough. I'm very short, so that's about 13 or 14 thousand steps....

Goal 3: Haven't gotten as far here as I'd like either, but I CAN SEE CLEAR SPACES in my office again.

November 16
Yup, as expected. Today I weigh 138.4. I like that one better!

------------------
November 15
Sigh...this is not a good day for my check-in. Eyes and face are swollen. Weight is suddenly up. I'm pleading water retention! Weight is up to 141.5. Also, to be honest, I've been making too many exceptions with diet and exercise. Back to it! Wish me luck!
emoticon
-----------------------

November 1, 2010
Goal 1: 140.2, BMI: 27.38
Goal 2: Still walking. Joined the 10 Minute A Day Team, and dedicating that time to strength training and stretching.
Goal 3: haven't done it! Office is still piled high.

So, I'm on track. Though weight loss has slowed, I've lost inches, and am stronger and sleeping better. OK
------------------------

October 15, 2010
Goal 1: 140.5, BMI: same DIDN'T GO BACKWARDS!
Goal 2: Keeping up the walking OK. Grateful for cooler weather. I am much stronger than last check-in, which is more important to me than weight.
Goal 3: Baby steps. Sent copies of old photos to sister and daughter in hope of an identification or two.
----------------------------
October 1, 2010
Goal 1: 140.6, BMI: 27.46 GOAL EXCEEDED!
Goal 2: Keeping up an average of five miles on the pedometer. Goal met.
Goal 3: Well, I did at least do a rough sort of the piles of old photos littering the dining room table, and put them in the office. Admittedly, this was prompted by a guest meal requiring the table....... But, something was done.
------------------
September 15, 2010
Goal 1: 142.5, BMI: 27.83 Goal met.
Goal 2: Keeping up the 5 miles on the pedometer! Goal met.
Goal 3: Uh-oh. Think I'm avoiding it. I'll try to report progress next time,no, I will report progress next time!
------------------
September 1, 2010
Goal 1: Starting at 144 pounds, BMI is 28.12
Goal 2: Have recently been back to the 5 mile/day after a long trouble with health problems. With cooler weather, I think I can keep it up.
Goal 3: Not begun yet....
_______________
Goal 1: Loose one pound by each new two-week check-in.
Goal 2: Return to 5 miles a day on pedometer.
(Cooler weather ahead, so may be possible again.)
Goal 3: Clear/sort stacks of genealogy research paper by end of challenge!
Reward: emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am also up to the challenge, though I will have to be done with it on November 15 since I am having surgery on November 17.

Name: aebrownson
My Goals for the next 3 months
Goal 1: lose 1.5 pounds per week
Goal 2: declutter one drawer or shelf or closet per week
Goal 3: continue my 5x per week exercise schedule, with Pilates twice a week, strength training twice a week, and cardio of some kind everyday. Also continue to get at least 10,000 steps each day.
Reward: manicure/pedicure and being 10 pounds (or less!) from my goal weight!

September 1 Starting Weight 175.8
September 15 Weight 170.8 haven't decluttered at all...it's the beginning of the semester and I have barely been home!; yes, I've been to the gym 5X per week and have made at least 10,000 steps most days (I think the average is over 10,000, anyway!)
October 1 Weight 168; I cleaned my WHOLE OFFICE at home! Still have about 8 boxes of stuff from my dad---photos, etc. that I brought home after he died almost two years ago, but I've made a lot of progress! Have mostly done the 5x per week exercise as well as the 10,000 steps a day.
October 15--Goal 1 Weight 165.4. So I've lost 10.4 pounds in 6 weeks. So I guess thats a big emoticon It's getting to the point now where it appears I don't have a bunch of fat left to lose (except in my stomach area, and a lot of that is baggy skin) Goal 2: I did a huge decluttering two weeks ago, so I haven't done anything much since then. Maybe this weekend! Goal 3: skipped one day, but have added the stationary rower to my cardio, and it has definitely upped my calorie burn!
November 1 Goal 1: I'm at 158 lbs! Honestly, I've been eating, but I've lost 8 pounds in two weeks!
Goal 2: I've continued to declutter. My office is clean and yesterday I went through my closet and drawers again and did another purge. Goal 3: Did 5 days this week and 5 days last week, so I guess that is a goal met, too.

Hello all you fellow librarians (or wanna-be librarians) or those among us that just love books so much they have their own personal library. Are you getting ready for story time? Meeting new college students? Studying to become a librarian? Are you just checking out books at the library every chance you get? Then this challenge is for you

September is almost here! Have you accomplished what you aimed for so far this summer? Do you have fitness goals you want to reach before Thanksgiving? How about all that reading you said you would get to? This is going to be a simple self motivated challenge since it is summer after all. Do you want to look svelte by Turkey day?
This is a 3 month Challenge with 3 goals for each month. Reply to this topic to join the challenge, and Update it each week to let us know how you are doing. One goal should be weight/BMI, 2nd goal should be fitness, 3rd goal should be other (whatever you want to aim for). Then, list your reward that you will give yourself on Thanksgiving for all your hard work through the fall!

For example:

My Goals for the next 3 months
Goal 1: lose 2 lbs per month
Goal 2: read 1 book per week
Goal 3: follow my daily exercise schedule. intervals 3 x's weekly, daily stretches, walk # steps daily
Reward: concert tickets

One thing new since last time, instead of posting weekly, post your results here twice monthly. And rather than making new replies, please edit your post weekly, sharing your progress.

Have fun with our Fall Fitness Challenge. Be as creative as you like. Remember, this is your challenge, and you are unique.

Your friendly library dragon ~
