Every day - even if it isn't something "formal."

I try to take a run every morning before work; when that doesn't work out, I take a walk in the evening. I do something purposeful and strength-related three times a week. There's a fitness room at my apartment complex and I use the free weights and some of the machines.

Every day I do some crunches in the morning and I do wall pushups in the shower. I H-A-T-E strength training and my weak, flabby arms and my weak, flabby abs reflect that. If I do those exercises a little at a time, it doesn't feel like I'm really working out.

When I go to work, I park as far away from the building as I can get and I take the stairs instead of the elevator all day, every day. Oh, and I practice yoga - that's more for the emotional wreck I tend to be but it also helps the physical wreck that I am! I'm trying to find a class around here (I'm new to the city) so right now, its me and the DVDs on Netflix.

Four days should be the minimum unless you have underlying circumstances. Any less than that and your goals will be quite delayed. Think about it; you should be working on yourself most of the time (healthier eating and working out). Four days is most of the week. Five would be my max. Plus your body needs to rest. Also, if you build in 3 rest days, you have a better chance of getting those 4 days in, with no excuses if something does come up.

I attempt to work out 5 or 6 days a week. I was enjoying water aerobics 3 days a week, I will start that back up next week at the gym and I bowl 2 days a week and walk almost everyday. I am good at walking at least 10,000 steps a day on top of everything else. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I try to walk at least 2 miles 4-5 times a week. I'm lucky to have a great friend that is motivating me. Some days we speed walk, some we walk/run and some are light days that we just walk. After a month, we will add a different type of cardio into the routine. Trying to keep it fresh and fun.

The key for me is some activity at least 15 minutes everyday no matter what. From there, it still ranges from water fitness to walking to strength training. But that 15 minutes minimum keeps me moving and always is doable.

Plan A water fitness

Plan B strength training with or without cardio

Plan C 30 minute walk

Plan D Cardio by Jake machine.

It depends on how I feel but I usually stay in the gym for around 90 mins if I'm not seeing my trainer. I sometimes do Zumba in the morning on the xbox and go the gym at night. My goal is to burn atleast 1,200 calories every workout.

In a "good week" I will hit the gym 5 times. I try to do 30 minutes of cardio post strength training workout and alternate strength training lower and upper body parts. I like SP as I receive encouragement and motivation daily. Thank you all for being so supportive of each other. This is a great site and team to belong to.

I feel good knowing that everyday I work out, I am working closer and closer to my goal weight. Sometimes it is so hard, but I have to keep telling myself that I have a goal to get to.

I'm currently working towards 6 days per week. I started with 3 days for one week, then added a 4th day the next, 5th day and this week will be 6 days per week.

I'm "scheduling" my workouts the same as everything else in my life and doing my workouts first thing in the morning to honor my self-commitment. And I'm trying to do something physically new each month. This month will be a long awaited Zumba class.

My commitment is to be consistent with both my workouts and meals however, which has been a slippery slope for quite a while for me.

At first I was working out everyday for 45-60 minutes but I ended up getting burned out. Now I workout 5x a week for at least 30-45 minutes. Rotating rest days in has helped me, especially because I usually do Yoga or some type of stretching on my rest days. I'll probably add more minutes to my workouts once my body gets adjusted.

I said I was going to fit in about 15 minutes at work at least 3 times a week I'm walking city blocks and i get to people watch. This is In addition to what I do at home - either walking/running a trail, treadmill, or a work out video - for at least 15 minutes. I know everyone's work life is different. But I get to work early, and do a pre-planned walking route for 15 - 20 minutes. The goal isn't so much to break a sweat (although there is a shower here if I need it) So much as it's just to make sure I get some movement in my day. And if I do it before everyone gets here, and before the works gets extreme, I'm successful. It also helps if I just can't get in a workout after work.

My absolute min. is 15 minutes of something - walking, cardio machine, anything. Otherwise, I alternate between water aerobics, strength training and cardio. It's a challenge because of a bad ankle injury, a cold and an eye infection. But I am in it for the long haul.

When I started exercising, I worked out about 15 minutes a few days a week. I know that's not much but it beats doing nothing. Now I am up to 40 minutes 3 to 4 days a week. That's a lot for me. After I made myself a promise to work out regularly I rewarded my self for my first week of exercising by buying a resistance tube. I figured this would keep me motivated, and it did. After my 3rd week, I bought a balance ball. I still haven't used it but I plan to. BABY STEPS... Keep it moving!!! The thing is, where ever you are, keep striving for more. BUT TAKE YOUR TIME! Don't burn your self out and quit... YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
