This is my favourite game right now! I've tried it on both the balance board and DDR mat, but really like using the nunchuk in my pantleg and being able to move around the room the most. Often my five year old son plays along with me!

I'm going to check the amazon board you guys have mentioned and will continue to check back here for more strategies. Thus far, I haven't really got a strategy... I've just been enjoying walking around the island and discovering things.

I love my Walk it Out but because I left the stadium at the beginning and wandered aimlessly trying to figure out how to use the game, I have never made a rainbow.

So, yesterday I created a new avitar, started over and made a rainbow before I had completed 3,000 steps. I was working in sections so as not to lose my place on the map so I'll finish the stadium area and move on. I'm up to 7500 steps and almost ready to move on to 8,000 so hopefully I won't have problems achieving my goals now.

I showed this game to some friends Friday night and they loved the concept.

All you new people will love this.

At first, I was working hard to get as many routes unlocked as possible to have all the island accessible to me.

Now my strategy varies day to day depending on how much time I have to play. I prefer to save up for a couple of large events (500+) at the start of my walk, then for the remainder of the time I'll knock off the smaller ones along the way.

I do gravitate to establishing 'sections' of the island so I know that certain areas are done completely.

I play this game daily and after a month I'm still LOVING it!

Exactly! The first time is awkward but once you adjust the settings (there are only a few to set the pace and how the points accumulate) and walk around you get the hang of it pretty fast. I didn't think the instructions were that easy but by my third time I was a pro.

I'm going to assume that when I get this game and start playing, you all won't sound like you're speaking a foreign language??? LOL

Her second character already? Wow! I'm up to either 47 or 49 hours right now (can't remember off hand) and I've been playing it on Normal. I think I put my last stats on the Gold's Gym team. I'll have to check but I think I was up to 57% unlocked. I still love this game. I'm on vacation right now and doing a ton of walking to get around to different events.

I expect you'll have to use the magic clock to find a few things here and there to get to the 100% so that's why I'm trying to get those pieces next - I'm no where near done. It will be interesting to see how many hours/miles you have log to finish. On the amazon discussion there is someone that just finished her second character - can you imagine?

Last week while in the shopping district, I cleared a whole section of stores and stuff and was wondering why it looked so bare. I had looked at the map to make sure that I had got everything and it did look clear. Then I went back to play the game a couple of hours later, and then more stores appeared in the shopping district that definitely were not there earlier. So, it looks like the stores appear at different times too.

Listening to the same songs over and over in the beginning drove me to hunt out the music so that I could uncheck the really slow songs and get more that I really like. Anything under 99bpm drives me nuts since I'm jogging on a mini-trampoline.

In order to get all the music you have to unlock the map to reach some of them and then you have to get more magic clock times because there's more items at different times. I have quite a few constellations now so I'm not as excited about them as I was but I do pick them up along the way since they cost more points.

I also tend to stalk my big ticket items like running around the lighthouse path until I had enough to buy it or running up and down the far right path to earn the suspension bridge in that area. The flower fields are going to take days to complete so I do a few laps there too. I am getting better at hitting things without stopping. I mix between loading up the queue or saving up for the big stuff.

I finally got a rainbow so I don't really run all over for that anymore. In the beginning it seemed like it would take forever to get from one end to the other now I'm more familiar with the map so it's not so bad.

I do click on the map when I'm leaving a section to check to see if I missed any music so I can go back & get it. I like how somethings are up high or behind a tree and you can't see them unless you run in a different direction.

I was reading on the amazon message board that there are items in the stadium so last night I went in there and bought up that section - you also have to go back in there at different times.

My first few times were pretty random too but the more you play the more your own strategy develops.

I like to see a little bit of progress. My strategy has been to walk for one song, while also saving up for the big ones. At the end of one song, I'll unlock something small such as palm tree for 100 chips. That way, I'm still unlocking while also collecting for the big ones.

I was going to do the "get all events in one area" strategy, but this morning decided I wanted a rainbow so I got it then wandered aimlessly until I found a pretty little pond, so I got one side of the pond done. I have only unlocked one song so far, LOL. What are the rest of you doing/have done?
