I can't wait to get to Miracle Miles again but I find myself, yet AGAIN, starting over at the beginning with 10 minutes of her basic dvds and will work my way up.
Did get some in yesterday and today and this is going to sound silly but I forgot how much I love and how good the kickbacks feel! Sidesteps and kickbacks with the reachup and pulldown are my fave moves for whatever reason. Is it weird to have a favorite 'move'??? emoticon

What I love about WATP is that I can do it at any time. So, if I don’t have my exercise done by dinner, I can go to YouTube and find a Leslie video and get it done.

I found one of her tapes at the whse where I work and I love doing her Walk it off DVD, it's easy to follow & I don't need a lot of room to walk it off. Yesterday I was trying for 15 mins and ended up doing 19 mins of it, Tomorrow I will do more as we have no Zumba class Wed. night.

I HAVE always, and WILL always love Leslie Sansone. I have been doing her videos for YEARS and will continue to do them for as long as I possibly can :) I love her spirit and personality just as much as her workouts. She is truly a wonderful person all around.

I am still a big fan of Leslie. In fact, I have found lots of new, at least to me, videos on YouTube that are allowing me to use different exercise segments than the DVDs I own.

I will now do her resistance band, core, and strength training ones as well as the traditional WATP videos. She always offers a modified version that even these arthritic bones and joints can handle.

No excuses to not exercise.

After surgery, for the rest of my month, I plan to use Leslie’s easy miles to get me to my step goal, along with my daily walking. Since I can’t do hard intentional exercise for 21days, I plan to get my 10K step goal in this way.

I am right there with you. I haven't done WATP so I only did 10 minutes yesterday and I slept wrong last night and ended up with a stiff neck so I'm just walking and biking today because I have to be very careful with anything I do because of the stupid fibro.

But I am excited to be getting back to it ... I just love her personality! She's so cute, spunky, and fun :)

Been doing half a mile of Leslie the past 2 days ... may continue that this week and then get to a mile again by next week :)
Also doing other cardio in addition in the mornings and then try to do some walking/marching in place in the evenings. Playing around with different things to try to get my body to quit being so darn stubborn, lol.

Great job Jen and I have to do the same thing if I have had a hiccup or been down with feet/ill for 2 weeks or more. Gotta be so careful re: my Achilles Heel tendon (previous injury) and of course the ole plantar fasciitis!

Plus, my word now that I'm 44 you can get out-of-shape so darn quick!

I'm starting over again with some of her easier one mile walks and will work up from there again ... so tired of having to baby my fibromyalgia but it could certainly always be worse so I will just be thankful for what I CAN do and try to improve where I can :)

Stacy! I LOVE the Miracle Miles! I've only done the 1 mile walk and the Upper and Total Body workouts but so far everything I've done is awesome! The band is super cool and gives a really good muscle workout :)
I'm not a fan of how it is packaged (I actually took the discs out of the slipcover and put them in CD cases) and I can definitely see why Leslie wears the gloves with the band but other than those two minor complaints it's a really great set :D I'm going to do just the 1 mile walk for a week or so and then move on to the 2 mile walk.

I don't usually do her Walk Challenges and stuff though because I always feel like I fail if I can't/don't do the walk or amount of miles she has on any given day.

Something I LOVE about the Miracle Miles system is that even if I'm only at 1 - 2 miles for a while, I can still pop in the 3 - 4 or 5 mile discs for a change of music/style/work out and stop at what ever mile marker I need!
I really appreciate that she does that on each disc!

Thanks for your replies. I am trying to find Richard Simmons DVD. Most of them are out of print now. Will keep trying. Hope to stay in touch with all of you. Might be the push I need to get my butt in gear. Drop my a note sometimes to kick my butt lol and give me more ideas. Xmas and my birthday are coming I really need to hit some sort of goal by then. How much weight is a reasonable loss my Feb. 19t and what about the fat rolls around my midsection (other than a tummy tuck. lol Thanks

Need hip replacement and balance bad. Think I could do that walk exercises? How have they worked for you guys in loosing weight and inches? I do have an exercise band. I thought about getting the Miracle Miles set but figured hubby would have a cow if I spent the money on it when I already have 20+ WATP dvds that pretty much give me all the variety I need, lol.
I kind of fell out of the Leslie habit and am just now getting back into it so I'm doing some of the 1 mile walks I have on the different dvds.
Can't wait to get back to being able to do 2 and even 3 miles at a time but I had a foot issue over the summer so I'm taking it VERY easy because it still twinges every once in awhile and I don't want a setback.

The resistant band is just awesome during the walk!

New Moves * New Paces * New Routines... I'm a sweaty mess! emoticon

I highly recommend this! emoticon

So far, one of my favorite walking moves with band is when you are using it during the mini squat movements and the band is behind your back and you pull it up during each bend and then punch arms with band across body..Man can you feel the tension and muscles working!

I have to mention, I love the fact that with her dvd's you have the option to just play the music.
I used her music to do a Chris work out that had pictures/instructions on a circuit to burn 300 Cals. emoticon

It was the casual stroll/walk to take the trash to the curb, not the I need to seriously walk and therefore I'm staying on my own property exercise. You know? So I didn't mind the chat. I've been procrastinating about getting on the treadmill, but I did go walking twice on the land today. The evening walk was cut short by a neighbor though. Gotta take time to chat with the neighbors. emoticon emoticon
