Thanks for all the tips and advice. I sipped sparkling water (no wine), and really enjoyed the Super Bowl. It was awesome being sober for the entire game!

Oh, I'm sorry to come too late to be of help, but for future times:

Have lots of nonalcoholic drinks you like available.
Have a non-drinking buddy in attendance.
Write a list of the reasons you don't want to drink alcohol and feel free to step into a private space to read it.
Give yourself permission to leave if necessary. Have a list of alternatives. Matinees are always an escape.

Hope it went well for you. We all have something we struggle to overcome, whether it's wine or sugar or who knows what.

The challenge not to drink will make you stronger. Think of all that you will enjoy and remember without a night of drinking. You are worth it!

I have no intention of drinking during the Suber Bowl but old habits can be powerful. Any uplifting words, advice or encouragement would be appreciated.
