Working on the latest challenges in the FitBit community. Great feeling of being in this “together” Sometimes very competitive; usually as a reminder to do what you are capable of, in contrast to accepting the default of “when I feel like it” which rarely occurs.

The iOS / other mobile platforms are very visual. I have never collected / posted the badges that some people of that platform create, but they are full of color and can be combined with your own photos.
It takes me enough time to just do the activity to “get” the badges, let alone create / post them.

The current Fitbit challenges that I participate in keep me on the toes in one way or another. Meeting the 250 steps / hour is never easy when I have knowledge work to do, especially not when I am in sit-down meetings. But I do what I can, for where I “need” to be. I feel embarassed to say that I need to move, but some times, especially among “friends” I just do it - move around. But with clients who are there to get their own issues resolved, I just can’t do it - there is no collective consciousness that sees that as necessary or appropriate in a business setting.

I love the pockets of the SparkPeople community. I also enjoy the immediacy of the FitBit challenges. Different focus for different ways of viewing one's environment. It keeps me going when I am in "prevention" mode in contrast with competition mode.

This past weekend I saw someone's FitBit Ionic. It was not much bigger than the Versa, other than the strap has a built-in contour. If that shape is compatible with your arm, good on you. Otherwise, you may not be as ideal.
We agreed that the Fitbit challenges are great for maintaining comraderie and motivation.

I went from the "One" to the "original Flex" to Charge 2 (I gave that one away) to the Versa (just the right size and wrist straps I can live with). The only thing that I would love to have in the Versa is stronger Haptic strength. I sometimes miss the reminders to move; but I should be on top of that anyway.

Yes, I love Fitbit activity tracking! The Fitbit app is great. Do you (@PastorVic) or anyone else remember the pedometers that ate up CR2032 and CR2025 3V button batteries? I loved the accuracy of the Omron pedometers, but I certainly didn't like feeding those batteries. And the thrill of a device that kept your stats for a week compared to a day. It is a bit of a laugh to have to admit that you experienced that part of technological change! emoticon

Anyone else use a Fitbit? I find mine to be very motivating. I logged over 14000 steps yesterday. A lot of these came from parking far away at the mall and using the stairs instead of the elevator. I also did seventy minutes on the treadmill. Today I have a fitness class at the gym and while I’m there I’ll hit the treadmill and weights.
