Hi Ivory,
Glad to see you checking in.

I like similar as the keep it out of the house helps. I caved in last week to some sweets last week and I can't seem to beat the craving now.

I am back to tracking all my food. It is hard when I go out to eat.

I was doing well til the holiday with stress and had lots of changes in a job. The job is going well.

I certainly haven't beaten it, but like Minnie, I mostly keep it out of the house! It helps for social events that I'm gluten free, so I can often avoid baked sweets and goodies. I do keep tiny containers of Breyers chocolate ice cream in my freezer, and if I'm having a really bad evening craving, I'll eat just one tiny bin, and it's usually enough.

The big issue for me is that my life will get super stressed and crazy, and then I'll just buy something bad and eat it. Like last week was midterms, ack!

I don't add sugar to anything but have the occasional "treat". Like Minnie, I find socialising a challenge at times.

i haven't beat the desire, but i generally don't consume added sugar at home. my trick is not having it in the house. i'm on a "see food" diet, so if i don't see it, i don't eat it. when i'm out socializing, it's still a challenge.

This week challenge is Journal your sweet craving.

Jot down some of the more shocking numbers you find during the week and share your findings with the MC team.

If you have already beat the sugar craving, I challenge you to share trick that helped you with your cravings.

Instead of cutting out sugar cold-turkey, this week is all about assessing your current sugar struggles: what you crave and how much you eat. This whole week, you will keep track of your sugar cravings in a journal or on your phone. You might find it helpful to jot down what you're doing and how you're feeling when you feel the urge to reach for sugar, as well as how much you ate if you gave in to your craving. At the end of each day, look over your entries to see if patterns jump out at you. Do you crave sweets every afternoon? Are your cravings strongest when you're stressed or tired? Identifying these patterns will help you nip your triggers in the bud before they start. (From the Tame your sweet Challenge.)
