Bad week for me. Shouldn't have quit posting so here goes
10/21 - 2159
10/22 - 2081
10/23 - 1895
10/24 - 2265
10/25 - 1895
10/26 - 1744
In spite of it all though, I did manage to lose just over a pound last week! I was getting in a lot of steps and exercise, so that saved me!

Keeping myself accountable here. Made a quick trip out of town and had 3 terrible food days with over 2000 calories on Monday and Tuesday and 1917 calories yesterday, but hopefully, I'm back on track today. On the positive side though, I did have over 10,000 steps on Monday and Tuesday and over 12,500 on Sunday.

Only 1162 for Saturday, so under my range again, but I got busy and didn't take the time to make good food choices. 1234 on Sunday and made some bad choices again, but I'm ready to start a new week with better choices. Posting here has really been helpful for me though so I think I'm going to try to continue even though this particular challenge is over.

Only 1097 for Friday - actually under my range, but I got some somewhat discouraging news about a loved one so I lost my appetite. I did manage to walk away from the fat-filled breakfast being offered at work for the first time - luscious looking cinnamon rolls, muffins, bacon, sausage, breakfast burritos and quesadillas, and hashbrowns - and went back to my desk and ate my oatmeal - yes, I walked away from the bacon! If I had known I wasn't going to have to make myself accountable here, I probably would have at least gone back for the bacon, so this publicly proclaiming my calorie intake is working for me! Thank you!

Instead of going to the gym, I ended up going out to eat at my favorite Mexican restaurant with a friend who needed to talk about her marriage problems. I had to just guess on the calories and may have not put in enough, but I just selected a couple of items from the list contributed by others that looked like they may have been similar to what I ate and tallied the day at 1445, which is still in my range. I guess I'll take it and just try to do better tomorrow and also get to the gym since I've missed 2 nights in a row now. I've been making progress so I definitely don't want to slide back in the wrong direction! Making myself accountable here does help me to be more conscious of what's going into my mouth!

Okay, today was not too great. My calorie count was 1560 which is 10 calories over. But worse was the percentages, very low in protein, which I really try to keep high (minimum 25%). Hoping to be super focused tomorrow.

AMARTIN2264 I totally get it. Really good that you posted, that is definitely a victory.

My husband bought ice cream last night and I gave in to the temptation. emoticon
But I'm taking this part as a victory; I usually would not post here and just give up for the week because I would be too embarrassed to show I'm weak. Today is a new day and I'm going to stay within range!

I guess I was quick to say this week's challenge would be easy for me 😳. With the fast of Yom Kippur I didn't get much tracking in. On Tuesday I know I went over (although didn't track) in anticipation of the fast. When I broke the fast on Wednesday night I was careful not to overeat, but I didn't track it. Hopefully, I can post a properly tracked day today and tomorrow. Then it's Shabbat and a whole week of holiday 😆!

I'm way below my calorie range as all I'm eating at the moment is a little stewed fruit and some soft cheese.

Not a bad Monday for me. Spark says I'm allowed 1270-1620 cal per day. I had 1189 cal today and took the dog for a hike. Although I did slip in a cookie (OK, 2). Silly me for thinking I could make them for the kids and not eat them. :)

glad you're home again, Lynn, and well enough to post.

I have a lot of trouble restricting myself to small amounts and nuts are a very good example.

Good day today after a tough weekend keeping it reined in because we traveled 1200 miles round trip for our grandson's birthday, so between the car ride and the ice cream birthday cake and mega steak dinner with all the trimmings, I didn't exactly stay on track over the weekend! :-( My Spark range is 1200-1550 and I came in at 1203 with 30 minutes of exercise today though, so hopefully I am back in the game!

This should be pretty simple for me. I've only been back in the game for the past month or so. So I'm still a very good tracker. Most days I'm in my calorie range and haven't gone more than 100 over on the exceptions. So looking forward to keeping it up.

Logging my foods has absolutely been the biggest key to my weight loss/weight gain. As long as I keep myself accountable by logging everything I eat, I steadily lose weight - may stall out some weeks, but the scale does steadily go down, but then I get tired of tracking and don't want to take the time and I quit losing and eventually start gaining again. Posting my calories for everyone to see will definitely add a whole new dimension to it and hopefully, inspire me to consider how badly I really want that cookie or cupcake they are waving in front of me at work!

Hi all...good morning...home recovering from the double mastectomy I had last week...a tad late posting but I think you can catch up quick this morning!

This is the hardest thing for me to do yet it's the biggest thing that helped me get my weight under control: SEEING exactly what I was eating. I had what SP calls "portion distortion". I still have it at times. I thought I was eating healthily when I would eat, say, some nuts....trouble was, I would eat the entire CAN of nuts. Not good. I didn't figure out how many extra calories I was packing on until I started logging everything that went into my mouth.

How are you doing with that?

The MC this week is to make sure you log your food intake daily, staying within your calorie range, and then (yikes!) share your total calorie count with the group at the end of the day. We'll do this for at least 5 days out of the 7 that the MC is in effect. You pick the five days.

So, if you eat it, then log it, then post your total (whether over or under) in this Forum. It is important that even if you don't stay within your calorie range each & every day, that you still post it. We're here for you!!!!

This MC will hopefully provide some accountability to keep on keeping on and maybe help some of us break through a plateau!

Hugs ya'll,

L. (Lynn)
