I meant to log on early LAST WEEK and clarify and thing have gotten so busy at work, I don't have time to breathe, let alone post. I'm late this week posting a new MC too...damn it.

So, last week: I don't have anything against plain yogurt...it was about ridding ourselves of the bits loaded with sugar & other stuff we don't need. Plain yogurt (if you can tolerate it) is totally ok with added fruit, for instance. That ship has sailed though...sorry.

I see that only a few people tried it. I'll go back to a tried and true one this one, albeit, late.

ate 4 homemade goodies made by friends. all but 1 were natural ingredients but contained sugar. the one without sugar had onion soup mix from a container. at least i had small portions.

grocery shopping - chose wisely. only "indulgence" some extra dark chocolate.

forgot to say I have a water filter so do not need to buy bottled water. don't drink soda or soft drinks.

ate too much hi fat single ingredient (except homemade undressed salad) unprocessed food today. includes unsalted macademia nuts, brazil nuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds.
outa calories at 4PM and hungry. not a good situation.

Don't have much out of cans except baked beans [salt-free] and tuna in brine occasionally.

use a lot of frozen fruit and vegetables as well as fresh veg., peaches, kiwi fruit, plums. etc.

make my own yoghourt so I know there aren't any added sweeteners.

eggs are organic.

nuts are unsalted but roasted.

i'm sure this would be good for me, but i don't have the energy to go all the way. i do this partially.my cans are single ingredients. the mushrooms have salt, but i rinse them. i use single ingredient (except peas and carrots) frozen produce.my organic non- gmo corn thins come in a bag. my green tea bags come in a box. (don't think i had any today, but i'm not happy about it.) my nuts are mostly roasted, but almost always unsalted. i'd like raw ones, but harder to get and then have to soak them or roast them myself, i think. i eat lots of dairy. i've been off milk for a while, but i don't know if it makes a difference. why are you against plain yogurt? paolina makes her own and i have a machine but don't use it anymore. too much going on in my life at the moment. too hard for me to go to extreme like you seem to be able to do.

doesn't SP have a dairy free option? i think they let you eliminate some food groups.they are not as high protein as you like, but that is safe only short term.

today i've had nothing i consider preprocessed (except my small piece of chocolate). i do have natural, fairly healthy soups and vegetarian patties in the freezer. i don't eat them often.

This week I'm going to challenge the way you are eating. It will be a new MC for the Team and I'm interested to see how many of you are on board with it and what progress you make because of it.

I have lost 28 pounds since 12/26/15 and I've done it by eating an all natural, high protein diet. I think I told you all I signed up with Beyond Diet for their meal plans (SP meal plans didn't work for me as they had too many things on them I couldn't eat, e.g. dairy, etc.) I've enjoyed their meal plans immensely, and without getting into the nitty gritty of it, essentially I cut out every food that comes in a box, a bag or can!

Let that sink in for a moment.....

What this forces us to do is stay on the outside rim of the grocery store, sticking with fresh foods that you cook yourself. It does NOT include: bread, pasta, rice, frozen entree's, packaged cheeses, yogurt, etc.

The only fruits you are allowed this week are: apples, bananas and any kind of berry.

There are a few exceptions to the no boxes, no bags, no cans rule. One is eggs. You are allowed eggs, if it is in your diet, and while those come in a box, if you can get them fresh from a farm, that's even better! Second is raw nuts (not roasted, not salted) and raw nut butters for protein. Third is pre-packaged greens, such as spinach. It comes in a bag but that is ok....it's fresh. Lastly, a canned item is ok as long as it is organic, no sugar or salt or preservatives added.

So, who cares to try this? It has worked for me for the last 3 months and I'm anxious to see what kind of progress you can make with me.
