i think i'm getting better, but i bettter behave. i'm focusing on freggies so i must get my fiber.

43 grams today but over 1500 calories. cup og garbanzo beans gives 12 gms.

got 32 fiber yesterday
have already 21 and am making minestrone soup tonight with tons of veg, kidney beans and whole wheat noodles so Ill make it today too :-)

This is a good one. Really make you think of fruit and veg intake and helps me be sure to track food in general.

i didn't record my food today, but i think i did ok. i'll just record the hi fiber stuff now...
ok, i got my 34 grams but it cost me at least 1550 calories. who knows what i forgot.

This is great!!! I have it already in my tracker and I fluctuate in getting all my fiber in. I usually do but randomly(when I don't track food throughout the day until the end) I look back and see that my guessing had me so far away from my fibergoal.
Tracking food throughout the day is critical for me and being conscious of fiber is a great goal this week!

Fiber Up Mini-Challenge!

Welcome new members! Just a reminder: This team is set up for us to see Mini-Challenges during the month as follows:

2 weeks - Intake Mini-Challenge
1 week - Exercise Mini-Challenge
1 week - Self Esteem Mini-Challenge

This is week two of the month, last week we did an Intake MC and this week, we are going to do another, so here we go!

Fiber is necessary in our diets and our bodies for many reasons. Did you know that not getting enough fiber can actually cause you to GAIN weight? Have you been getting your 25-35 grams of fiber daily?

This week we'll concentrate on meeting our fiber goals and maybe create a new habit along the way. Read the following Spark article for suggestions on how to up your fiber intake:

Remember, this is a mini-challenge, so you'll complete the challenge by getting your RDI of fiber at least 5 of the 7 days this Challenge is in effect. Make sure you post to this list how you are doing it that the other team members can learn from you too!

PS: It's very important to keep up the water intake during this fiber mini-challenge!

Also, don't forget to log in your starting weight for this Challenge under the accompanying Weigh-In Forum. Good luck and fiber up!!!!
