Instead of 1 cup of prepared lemonade, try 1 cup of a sugar free variety. 1st day

Drink 1 cup of diet soda instead of 1 cup of regular soda. 2nd day

Today I will try Try 1.5 oz. of fresh grapes instead of 1.5 oz. of raisins on my salad.

Wish me luck, I am getting married, so I need all the motivation I can get!

I'm late in getting in on this one (rough week at work so haven't been on the computer any after hours), but I'm with Joyce. I am trying to keep it to 1 glass of wine at night instead of a couple.

Other than that, this time of year is easy for me to not eat chips/cookies (which are my go to foods when I'm stressed) as much because of all of the fresh fruits and veggies that are available. So I'm definitely saving in that area as well.

Eliminate excuses and avoid procrastination! Just Do It!

I should be sorry if the challenges were discontinued, even though I can't do some of them.

I don't know how many calories I saved but had salad for lunch instead of sandwich.

L, i see no protein or fat in your shake. how are you supposed to stay full?

instead of apple cake, chocolate cake, and ice cream, i had a few cubes of pineapple. don't know where that's on the list, but i cut a few calories.

tomorrow i a plan to meet an old friend. she just wants to eat out or have ice-cream. she does not want to walk. challenge.

I am going to work on cutting back on my wine and night, I drink 3-4 glasses. This is where I know I need to cut back, but that is my one real vice so anyway I can still enjoy and cut back too.

I have been using the Nutri-Bullet Rx to make breakfast every morning for the last 3 months. I thought it would help me lose weight. It hasn't.

I decided last week to increase the number of vegetables in the shake and decrease the number of fruits, so this morning, my shake consisted of:

1 mandarin orange
1 banana
6 small dates
large handful of baby spinach
2 med carrots
1/2 large cucumber, peeled
4 strawberries

I used 1 C. of unsweetened coconut milk, filled the rest up with water & ice.

I share the shake every morning with my boyfriend and 6 yo step-son. This morning, I took a smaller portion than usual, genuinely 1/3 of the shake. I'm not sure how that equates to calories. It was tastey, though an hour after finishing it, I'm hungry again.

I'll try to last until lunch by drinking hot tea with honey....or water. Water would probably be better for cutting the calories.

i had seltzer even though i was offered soda tonight

who drinks just 5 oz of chocolate milkshake? haven't had one in decades. used to make a fake with ice and lowfat milk till i gave up splenda.

i have turkey sausage in my freezer. (DH bought it) is it a good thing to eat? i thought it was still very fatty.

1.5 oz of grapes instead of raisins is custom made for me!!! !but i have raisins and no grapes.

i put neither cheese nor croutons on my salad. couldn't find anything else. maybe next time.

This a relatively new MC that was added to the rotation not long ago. I like it though because it has me looking at my calorie count very closely. :D

So, this week we're going to work on finding some places where we can make an easy cut in our intake calories. The following Sparkpeople article gives us 50 different places where we can cut 100 or so calories:

Every hundred helps!!!! The Mini-Challenge for this week is for you to pick 1-2 of the 50 ways to cut calories in this article on four days out of the seven the MC is in effect. Then, post here and tell us which of the ways you tried and liked, or that maybe didn't work for you and why.

Try different ones and experiment! Perhaps you can create a new habit this week! :D Let us know how and what you're doing to cut those calories!
