I don't believe everything that comes down the pike--too often these things are just fads--but the articles are very helpful by getting me to think about quality foods. I am allergic to most fruits and veggies, so I'm already limited by what I can and cannot eat -- there's no point in eating foods with negative value. Thanks for the links.

These articles are inspiring, I passed on the Snickers bar offered to me, grabbed a green tea and fistful of nuts. The "worst" foods especially made me open my eyes to some things that I loved, (everything on that list) to OMG, yuck!!! I kept a copy of that article to remind myself when I am feeling weak. now I need to buy some natural sweetener for my coffee at work in the mornings. Thanks for sharing

I needed sometime to, ahem, digest this challenge. I finally did, and I'm finding it very motivational!

It also showed how CONFUSING all this is. Peanuts made both the best of and the worst of lists! I am going to work to incorporate some of these foods in the top 50 article into my diet and I can certainly avoid most of the items in the "worst" lists for one week, except dairy. I'd rather be fat than give up cheese. It's true.

I'm 4'10.5". A normal BMI for my height tops out at 121.

Good morning everyone!

Here is a new Intake MC for us this week. I'm struggling again with motivation and finding that I'm confused about what's good to put in and what's bad to put in the body, what causes belly fat, what might make me tired, and what EXACTLY are the foods I should be eating.

This week, we're going to investigate the Worst Foods you can eat, even though some of them may appear to be healthy or healthy benefits. Here's the article:

Next, here are a couple articles explaining the 10+ worst foods we can eat for weight loss and why:

For your viewing pleasure, I found this documentary by HBO. It's called Weight of a Nation and it targets the US:

Lastly, some foods that will help you LOSE weight:

So, the MC this week and start some "Replacement Therapy". I'd like to see you cut out every food that they say is "bad" for weight loss and report back here on what foods you've incorporated into your diet that are "good" for weight loss.

Who's game?

Me! Me! Me!!!!!!! Let's do this!!!
