Thanks for the birthday wishes...he was pretty pysched!

I taught zumba on Tues and then practiced again on Wed. Did not attend class this week other than that. Walked 6000 miles at the County Fair and then again at the local gardens on Saturday. :D Got in some good movement this week.

I started trail running, the way I planned my week will have me doing it three days. I walk every day so hopefully that helps.

Well, I've taken a warrior class and it is three times a week, one hour a session. We do burpees, lunges, squats, squat jacks, no jacks (that's where the legs jump in and out all the while holding a sandbag overhead), butterflies while holding sandbags, leap frogs, side straddle hop, planks and a ton more stuff. Then we run or fast walk. All usually holding a sandbag. The sandbags are 12 - 40 lbs. And if you get there first, you get a light one. If you get there last, you get what's left.

Hello Everyone!!! Sorry for the late post. My kid turned 6 yesterday and I got all caught up with the fun of just being 6! So, so sorry I forgot to post!

And now, once again, It's Exercise Week!!! YAY!

So, ok, In keeping with our set schedule of 2 Intake Challenges, 1 Exercise Challenge & 1 Self-Improvement Challenge, this week falls on an Exercise Challenge. This is one of my favorite weeks. This year, we've already mastered the Butt Blaster Workout, Abdominal Crunch Workout, and a few other things that had us all panting & groaning but we know it's good for us!!! Right gang?

So, are you ready to take charge???? If so, here is your MC for the this week:

Pick an aerobic exercise, maybe one you haven't even tried before, and do that exercise for at least 30 minutes for 4 of the 7 days this MC is in effect. 5 out of 7 or the Golden Crown Award! emoticon

Read this article: tinyurl.com/39ugwz from SP to find out about both aerobic exercise & anaerobic exercise. See where you stand with moving toward the ideal of anaerobic exercise and try making it a daily or weekly routine.

For me, I've took up Zumba about 2.5 years ago and have even become a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor due to this very Mini-Challenge!!! My plan for this coming week is to do Zumba 4 times. In fact, 6 months ago, my goal was to sign up to become an Instructor....I did it! Before that, on the last go around, I tried Jazzercise which I loved. So, do something fun! Get out of the exercise rut! Maybe some P90X? Exercise on a Ball? Power Walking at the mall? Wii? Walking the dog...really fast? Swimming? Cycle Class? (still haven't done that one) Yoga? Pilates?

What about you? Share your progress and comments in this Forum for the duration of the MC. I look forward to getting ideas and seeing how you are doing. Just remember, it must be something that gets your heart rate up and no, going to see the movie "Magic Mike" does not count! emoticon
