Thanks Mallard and Cheryl, its my snacking (when not hungry) is the problem, going well, everytime i go to grab something i think no you dont need it and I want to win that $450 for competition at work, even if i dont win it, i would have broken my bad habit again!

Off to to the gym soon, wouldve have completed 6 days of exercise this week

Tested boundaries yesterday after losing a full kilogram I have eaten bread and had Magnum ego ice-cream and gained 800grams plus a migraine. Not good and we have family coming for dinner tonight. Good to know limits.

Cheryl there is definitely a tomorrow. just put that behind you and get on with the challenge.

I have just been for a 5.12 km walk with a little jog in the middle of it. Took me 56 mins so that means 5.5km/hour. Its been a long time since I did walks like this but I am determined to be getting up early while on holiday to get into this routine of getting out before it gets too hot.

I also went for a walk today. First time since I injured my sacroiliac joint two weeks ago. Not good My hip is sore again. Blast it. Anyway Third day on the challenge and I have not been very good as I discovered that my daughter had opened a bag of pineapple lumps that were in the cupboard. I had to have some so I thought three would do the trick. Twelve! blast it. Anyway there is always tomorrow.

Well hubby went back to work for the new year so that was good. As it was Thursday I met him for lunch and he seems brighter already really.
Had a good day just sorting through things as I don't go back to work until 21st.
Didn't do a walk today but have for two days in a row this week.

Ros its the holiday season or was. Just restart and often weight that is quickly gained can be taken off quickly too.

Hi All,
I have just come back from a week's rest in Singapore. I managed to do a bit of walking but no strength training and the people I stayed with were foodies, so the control just went out the window. I ate like there was no tomorrow or should I say not a scale in the world!!! So now I am back to cold Vietnam. Landed at lunch time and need to buckle down again... Tomorrow!!! I hate to think what damage I have done or should I say good I have undone with my week of parties and then my week of holiday.
I am a bit afraid of going back to the trainer but I just need to bite the bullet and get back on track. This is the most dangerous time for me. ( its easy to think what the heck) But I have come too far to let myself slip too far back.

Sorry for the ranting, Happy New Year everyone! trust those blue cod are biting Mallard

I joined in a competition at work called the biggest winner the prize is 460 bucks for 1st prize, goes for 11 weeks, for the most weight loss, a good motivator to help me lose the weight i need to, change my relationship with food (again), as i have the exercise down pat.
No more boredom eating for me!
Went to the gym yesterday and did weights, today went for a 6km run :D

I have had a good day but eaten a bit much. Roll on the rest of the year with me really getting into it all again.
I was a bit down this morning when I discovering hubby has not been taking his antidepressants.
I think we are on to it and will see how we go. We went for a walk the two of us too so here's hoping it can be sorted.

New Years Eve.......
Time is ticking down.... from 2012 to go into 2013.
It is now 9.50pm and I am about to head into the city to get some shots of the fireworks from below the Sky Tower where they will be let off... at midnight

Thanks Mallard. Yes I had already decided to tke the 13 week 13lb in 2013 on the effort. I know it isn't too hard with the 17 day diet. You have been doing so well Mallard and 500 grams is ideal to lose. Have a Happy New Year.

Cheryl the weight gain is not a worry. it only becomes one if you yoyo around the same weight.
Just sticking to the plan seems to get things back on track quickly.
I think the Easter one sounds better. A kilo a week is too much to keep off I suspect. Well that is what I am reading.
I seem to be averaging just over 500g a week. And while I am not the lithe athletic man I would like to be straight away a least it is getting there and i know this time it will stay off. The last time I lost 20kg I did too much exercise and not enough eating and i couldn't sustain it. This time I am trying to balance it all out. Exercise I know I cam sustain and eating that is healthy and I will not splurge when I get to goal.
Keep at it.

I also gained weight after Christmas day 1kilograms but have since only moved down 600grams this week. so still 400 grams over what I was on Christmas Day. I have not been able to walk or run because of my sacroialic joint but have been doing bridges lunges and butt extensions to strength my non existent glutes. I have had chocolates, and cashew nuts plus the odd icecream. So it hasn't been a great week. We have been building a decking and I have been hammer hand so muscles all ache, It was 30 degrees this morning and now a southerly has come through so the temp has dropped nowto 21.6 and we have rain. Just after we put concrete round the bearers lol Typical! I still have 11.3 kilograms to loose. Maybe I should do a 11 kg in 11 weeks challenge. On another page they have going a 13 lb in 13 weeks which takes them to Easter. That is probably an easier goal of nearly 6 kilos by Easter. Cheer me on then guys.

Was pleasantly surprised. Being on a boat with limited food over xmas must be a good thing lol!
Now can I do the same over new year.
Mumsey not gaining I always consider a positive.
Jan be like me pay someone! LOL! Yes I have the cleaning bug as well at present the outside has never looked so tidy.

Happy Boxing Day everyone!!

CM wow you are amazing, the season hasn't thrown you off your routine at all!
Janette Have fun with the fitbit. I find it very motivation and a great reality check for me as to exactly how inactive I am at times. So enjoy it.
Westchick great to see you back, I hope your Christmas celebration was awesome.

As for me, I am not doing well food wise: too much feasting and tomorrow it is off to singapore for a week so that might be hopeless too, but Come Jan 3 i will get back with it, and hopefully wont have too much to undo.

Merry Christmas to everyone
I am here sitting in the dark as there is no electricity hoping the battery on my computer lasts to send this message via a 3G stick. Life is full of challenges :)

Cheryl a 400g loss is amazing at this time of the year that is a whole 1 lb worth celebrating for sure. My life is one party after another at the moment so hate to think what the scales will say.
Still after Christmas I hope to get back on the wagon so to speak and dont want to beat myself up too much over it as this is life.

Mallard I'm just a bit green with envy, your holiday plans sound amazing so catch a fish for me!

CM good on you for your continued runs and workouts even in the humidity.

I haven't been able to run wal all week as I had a fall and have redamaged my sacroiliac joint again. Physio three times a week and she said to me that my glutes are non existent. And here I thought my flat bum was because of dieting and running but no! apparently from a scale of 0-10 They are zero. Mainly because of the chronic problems with my sacroiliac joint. Oh well. Diet has had a fair bashing. Slow progress but still progress. I have since discovered that refined foods cause my migrainnes. Trial and error. Anyway 17.6 kilos since August 29th Not bad going really.
Have a good Christmas. I am with you Mallard. Holidays Yeah!
