You can get protein powder with carbs, so a shake for lunch wouldn't hurt. Just watch your sugar levels and medication. It does sound there is something amiss somewhere if you are going that amount of time without eating.

do you check your Blood Sugar during the day when you don't eat to see what it is?

If I eat breakfast with protein and/or fat, I usually don't get hungry until about 4:00. I know that they say to eat every few hours to keep blood sugar steady. Would it be okay to have a protein shake for lunch? I am pretty sure I have one with stevia rather than sugar, which is what I would be using. I just can't eat when I am not hungry unless I am in a point of stress or boredom.
